The Distribution Specialist – Slurry personnel is responsible for all outbound slurry shipments via railcar and truck. This includes coordinating with multiple departments/carriers and performing functions related to product shipping, billing, COA creation, maintaining customer data, inventory management, and DOT compliance. This is a salaried non-exempt position. Hours worked are typically 7:00am-3:30pm. Must be flexible relative to schedule change.
Key responsibilities include:
- Adhere to all SHE policies and procedures and INEOS Pigments’ Safety 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules
- Monitor and update daily shipping reports that are used by Production, Landfill, and CSR’s for dispatch of daily deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT/Hazmat shipping requirements
- Coordinate with carriers and track the movement of outbound shipments to meet customer delivery timeline.
- Coordinate and support Distribution ISO procedures
- Ensure scheduled shipments are shipped on time working with Production, IBP, and Customer Service Representatives
- Perform misc. office administration functions, as well as all other duties as assigned to assist the department needs.
- Ensure that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination and that individuals are treated with respect
About You
You should possess:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Additional educational background preferred, particularly leadership skills
- A minimum of five (5) years of distribution and logistics experience
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Functionality with various computer programs (SAP, word, excel, etc.).
- Strong working knowledge of safety, environmental and emergency
- Administrative office certification and/or advanced education in a related field a plus
- A minimum of two years of experience in an office administrative position
- DOT/HAZMAT certifications (ability to acquire)
- Use of Microsoft office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs
- Familiarity and use of SAP or similar software program
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment

This is a salaried exempt, day shift position.
