Job Title: Data Scientist- Operations Department: Operations
Summary of Position
The Data Scientist will collaborate with field operations and engineering teams to identify and address daily inefficiencies and ineffective processes. The primary goal is to develop data-driven solutions that augment user capabilities, automate workflows, and enable teams to focus on higher-level problems. In operations, the most significant challenges involve identifying the most valuable work, assigning tasks effectively, and ensuring work is carried out efficiently. The Sr. Data Scientist will leverage their creativity and expertise in technology and data to develop solutions directly tied to revenue generation.
Responsibilities
Partner with field operations and engineering teams to understand daily challenges and inefficiencies.
Develop data-driven solutions to automate workflows and augment user capabilities.
Utilize machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis techniques to derive insights and drive operational improvements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Implement and maintain data pipelines, machine learning models, and real-time monitoring systems.
Develop visualizations, dashboards, and reporting tools to communicate insights effectively.
Continuously explore and evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
4-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
At least 5 years’ experience working in an upstream organization providing solutions to internal clients.
Strong foundation in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning algorithms.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Knowledge of time series analysis and anomaly detection techniques for working with SCADA data and real-time monitoring.
Relocation:
Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits
Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.
Compensation:
The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $163,000 - $200,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 30% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 8-15% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
