Main role purpose:
The post holder manages Customer Technical Support activities for the General Purpose Vinyls Business in order to achieve sales and marketing objectives, supporting all product quality and development aspects, any product safety issues, and customer technical relationships.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Lead the implementation of the Commercial Safety Awareness Programme to all customers within scope.
- Provide technical support to customers of the GP Vinyls business.
- Manage the relationship with the production units as the CTS representative of the GP Vinyls business unit.
- Follow technical market intelligence by segment of application, and capture technical market opportunities to ensure maximum competitive advantage.
- Support the product development process.
Key skills & experience:
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, chemistry or equivalent with a strong technical background.
- Prior experience of working in technical roles such as R&D, plant production, quality engineering, or customer support.
- Knowledge of PVC products and applications.
- Extremely tenacious and well organised to manage changing priorities.
- Possesses initiative, engages in proactive behaviour, seizes opportunities, and demonstrates continuous self-improvement.
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrates rigour, ensuring accurate and comprehensive information is provided to all customers.
