Crude Marketing Manager Job Description
INEOS Energy US Marketing is hiring a Crude Marketing Manager on a full-time basis for its Houston, TX location. This individual will be responsible for managing existing relationships and developing new contacts with crude trucking providers, midstream gathering companies, and crude pipeline transportation providers to ensure maximum value for US Onshore production. This role will liaison between the operations team, midstream oil gathering & transportation providers and INEOS Energy Trading to ensure optimal performance for new and existing production. This individual will maximize production targets for new and existing production by working to optimize performance of midstream companies. This individual will be part of a team that manages all commercial aspects of marketing oil & gas.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with existing crude truck haulers to provide the highest level of safety and environmental compliance, as well as optimal performance to maximize crude value.
- Work closely with existing crude gathering providers to ensure contracts are administered appropriately and production downtime caused by gathering system issues is minimized.
- Develop strategy for new well locations through existing contracts or developing new agreements to ensure appropriate takeaway capacity is ready when needed.
- Liaison between operations team and midstream providers to coordinate any planned or unplanned downtime, pipeline capacity constraints and issue resolution.
- Coordinate with internal and external customers on daily production requirements and socialize midstream/downstream provider capacity changes.
- Maintain existing relationships with midstream providers, while developing new contacts, to maximize the value.
- Work closely with INEOS Energy Trading to evaluate downstream markets to ensure highest, optimal value for US Onshore crude.
- Cultivate new contracts for crude trucking, gathering and transportation to ensure maximum crude value for US Onshore production.
- Monitor crude gathering pipeline conditions and make appropriate recommendations to optimize production.
- Develop and maintain dashboard to evaluate performance of all midstream providers.
- Prepare, evaluate and negotiate new crude trucking and gathering agreements as needed.
- Act as a liaison with logistics coordinator and volume accounting for imbalance and invoice reconciliation.
- Work with Land team to minimize imbalances due to under/over consumption.
- Manage crude inventories by working with logistics coordinator and INEOS Energy Trading to adjust delivery volumes.
- Evaluate all parts of the value chain including wellhead connections, gathering, treating, and product transmission to markets.
- Support special projects as requested.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Administration or similarly related field
- At least 5 years of experience in energy business in marketing, distribution and/or production
- Ability to develop strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Strong knowledge of crude gathering and transportation agreement terms and economics
- Experience preparing, evaluating, and negotiating term business development opportunities with midstream providers
- Communication skills needed to present reports, plans and recommendations to leadership as needed
- Ability to handle problems and facilitate successful outcomes
- Ability to communicate and resolve issues in a professional and tactful manner
- Superior working knowledge of Microsoft related products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams
- Willingness to travel as needed
