Job Description
We are looking for a full time Credit Controller, who will be responsible for Credit Control in Export countries, by ensuring a close follow-up on Credit limits, late payments and blocked orders.
The credit team provides a service across Europe to the Olefins and Polymers business. INEOS Credit team is a decentralized team located at the key regional sites operated by INEOS O&P
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Collection Responsibility
- Direct contact with customers, sales personnel, agents and banks using all appropriate means of communications.
- Ensure that collection performance targets are met across the region.
- Escalate credit issues to Credit Manager as required.
- Manage blocked orders of overdue accounts, payment methods, or exceeded credit limits and release as per agreed procedures.
- Export documentation
- Work closely with Export department to ensure prompt and correct handling of payments under documentary credit and collections
- Ensure efficient and timely presentation of documents.
- Negotiate with banks to safely process discrepant documents and recommending ways to avoid these in the future
– Accounts Receivable
- Identify and correctly allocate payments daily
- Monitor bank charges
- Communicate with customers, agents, business to resolve any unallocated cash issues
- Follow up on over or under payments
Experience:
Bachelor degree or relevant experience in credit control
Technical skills:
- Very good knowledge of SAP, Excel
- Feel for the different markets, cultures in export countries.
- Fluent in English, Dutch or French
