about the role

Provide accurate and transparent cost control and reporting for Ineos FPS by evaluating, analysing and challenging spend for Capital Projects, Turnarounds and Operating Expenditure.

Ensure costs are managed responsibly within the approved budget and spend is accurately profiled and forecasted over the term of the project or work scope.

What does the day to day look like?

  • Responsible for monthly reporting updates of Value of Work Done and forward forecasting including forecast phasing.
  • Prepare, schedule and be responsible for monthly cost meetings with budget holders.
  • Collate and analyse asset commitments to ensure they remain within sanction and are accurately reported.
  • Verify actual spend and Value Of Work Done figures through consultation with sub-contractors and interrogating relevant systems to ensure accurate monthly and year end results.
  • Create and progress project change orders, ensuring that the cost report correctly reflects the type and amount of change and is fully auditable for verifying changes in actual versus forecast cost.
  • Ability to identify trends early, highlight potential increases and risk to costs to relevant budget holder and offer corrective measures.
  • Ensure efficient and timely closure of Purchase orders in relevant systems including the technical and financial close of all projects and work scopes at completion.

what do I need?

  • Appropriate Quantity Surveying/Cost Engineering qualification beneficial
  • Previous experience in a Cost Engineering role essential, in particular Major Events and Capital Projects
  • Familiarity with Maximo/SAP/PowerBI systems desirable
  • Advanced Excel skills along with the ability to efficiently manipulate and organise systems to obtain required data. Confident working with detailed, WBS based cost estimates and Excel based cost reports.
  • Ability to manage time effectively to achieve targets and objectives within deadlines.
  • Self-starter and comfortable with communications at all levels in the organisation

Application Process

Pre-screen

Applicants with a successful CV may be invited to an online MS Teams or telephone call to further discuss the role, the organisation and your suitability.

Formal Interview

Successful applicants will be invited to face to face interview, which will consist of behavioural and technical questions. For some roles the recruitment process may also include technical testing, behaviour questionnaires and/ or a delivering a presentation.

Pre-employment process

Before commencing work with Ineos FPS you will need to complete our pre-employment screening process. This will consist of a pre-employment medical, employment history reference and qualification verification check. Some roles may also require a criminality check.
