Hours: 37.5 per week

Location: Office based in Grangemouth 5 days per week

Salary: Dependent on skills, qualifications and experience

Contract type: Temporary Maternity Cover (PAYE Agency)

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Cost Analyst will be responsible for maintaining a cost control, reporting and auditing system for O&P UK term contracts, providing all cost data, and advice required to financially manage payment applications from contractors.

Key accountabilities

  • Analyse, and validate multiple service provider’s applications for payment on a monthly basis to ensure that the correct contract rates within the respective master service agreements are being applied and INEOS spend control rules are being adhered to.
  • Carry out contractor commercial audits, validating information provided and ensuring all necessary supporting documentation is available.  Challenge discrepancies and report to contract owners as necessary.
  • Prepare and liaise with term contractors to reach final account agreements to release commitment savings back into budgets. Monitor and carry out the closure of purchase orders.
  • Lead Service provider commercial performance meetings, developing INEOS / Contractor partnerships to ensure that INEOS meets its commercial obligations.
  • Provide cost contractual information and support to ensure service requestors can plan and forecast future spend.
  • Analyse and maintain costs data on a monthly basis, providing analysis of historical data to procurement to negotiate future tender assessments when required.

ABOUT YOU

Required:

  • Ability to manage time effectively and make good quality decisions to achieve targets and objectives within deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced).
  • Ability to use, manipulate and organise systems to obtain required data.
  • Comfortable with communications at all levels in the organisation.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Possesses a positive attitude to change / improvement opportunities.

Desired:

  • Appropriate Quantity Surveying/Cost Analyst qualification.
  • Experience in cost engineering within a large complex manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Maximo/SAP systems.

Formal Interview

Successful applicants will then be invited to interview which will consist of behavioural and technical questions. For some roles the recruitment process may also include technical testing, behaviour questionnaires and/ or a delivering a presentation.

Provisional Offer

If you are selected as the preferred candidate you will receive a provisional offer which will be subject to a medical assessment and reference checks. Some roles may also require a criminality check.
