Contracts and Procurement Assistant

At INEOS Energy we produce and trade oil, gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and carbon credits. This is supported by our investments in low carbon technologies, which will help sustain our business through the energy transition. Direct examples of these areas are ‘Project Greensand’, our pioneering carbon storage project in the Danish North Sea and our investment in HydrogenOne Capital.

Reporting directly into the Senior Contract and Procurement Advisor, the Contract and Procurement Assistant will take a prime role within the Procurement team and be largely responsible for the internal PO and Supplier Processes.

This role is office-based five days per week, at our Chelsea Office and it is a fixed-term, maternity cover contract commencing May 2025 with an end date of approximately July 2026.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage and execute all purchase order requisitions in the SAP system for the business ensuring internal approvals are in place.
  • Manage all new vendor setups in SAP and changes, always complying with internal processes – this will include verifying details over the telephone as part of the supplier on-boarding process.
  • Manage the Procurement mailbox and respond to all first level enquiries. Ensure any complex queries are escalated to more senior members of the team.
  • Provide support to Contract and Procurement specialists with tenders and contract enquiries.
  • Liaise with the operations team to fulfil their day-to-day requirements in SAP.
  • Maintain master service agreements on the internal database.
  • Carry out all relevant administration associated with the department.
  • Provide other ad hoc support when required.
  • For the right candidate there will an opportunity to upskill and support on contract management and negotiations.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Previous experience of working in a procurement role is preferred
  • Good understanding of basic contract forms, terms and principles is advantageous (but not mandatory)
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Good IT skills and familiar with MS Office
