Consultant Cloud Technologies (f/m/d) (F/M)
Organisational context and job purpose
As Consultant Cloud Technologies, the main purpose of this role is to help the Head of IT Infrastructure to manage INEOS Styrolution’s infrastructures and operations (including service desk and proximity support), from their implementation to their decommissioning, in line with the IT portfolio and corresponding roadmap. The position can be filled at any global location.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Microsoft infrastructure and support for server and endpoint technologies: Design and select medium complexity storage, data center, and client/server environments to design solutions in line with industry best practice and provide a third-line point of escalation for appropriate global infrastructure solutions
- Faults Diagnosis and Correction: Provide fault isolation and resolution for complex challenges to limit and address issues promptly
- Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization: Deliver digital solution architecture services as assigned, preparing conceptual and logical architecture diagrams to align technical direction and document future state architectures
- Analysis of "As-Is" and "To-Be": Document "as-is" and "to-be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required
- Testing Information Technology (IT) Performance: Design and perform website/applications software tests and respond to user emails to monitor, diagnose, and correct performance issues
- Technical developments recommendation: Discuss and recommend technical developments to improve quality of the website/portal/applications software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs
- Information Security: Implement and provide input on the design of required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption, monitoring performance to notify security experts of any problems
- Horizon Scanning: Explore and develop a basic understanding of external developments or emerging issues and contribute to the evaluation of their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization
- Information and Business Advice: Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media
Tasks in general:
- Responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT computing systems and infrastructure
- Plan, direct and coordinate the efforts of suppliers’ operations teams to manage and maintain BAU service
- Oversee implementation of endpoint standards (PCs, mobile devices, phones) and servers
- Manage Databases and DB Servers for Enterprise Applications
- Coordinate the distribution of systems or software that affects the computers and mobile devices at an enterprise level
- Manage the maintenance of infrastructure availability, reliability, maintainability, serviceability & continuity (Business Continuity, Data Protection, Disaster Recovery plans, Backups)
- Oversee supervision of Active Directory and Office 365 for INEOS Styrolution
- Work on resolving infrastructure related incident tickets with suppliers’ operations teams
- Monitor enterprise security related applications to ensure consistent and continued protection of data on server, desktop and mobile environments with SCCM and Intune (anti-virus, vulnerability remediation and patching) in collaboration with the Cyber Rik and Policies team
- Work with Site IT teams for the local server setup and maintenance
Skills & Knowledge Required
Level of education & knowledge:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level in information technology, mathematics or related subjects
- Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job-related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (6 years to 10 years)
- Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (3 years to 6 years)
Technical skills:
- Certification in Microsoft Technologies, EMM Management, or IT security like MCSE, MCP, CEH, CISSP, GSEC, VMWare Desktop and Mobility – Highly desirable
- Project Management Certification – highly desirable
- Strong and varied communication skills to work in a multi-cultural global team
- Effective time and resource management skills in a very busy changing environment
- Have experience of transitioning multiple projects at any one time
- Experience with industry standards incl. ITIL, ISO 27000
- Hands on experience with above mentioned environmental systems
- Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (3 years to 6 years)
