MECHANICAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR/ENGINEER

about the role

You will lead the field execution of mechanical remediation work within INEOS FPS Export assets, inclusive of all repair orders, piping defects and minor structural repairs.

What does the day to day look like?

  • Working closely with the engineer to scope, plan and deliver all inspection repair orders, FM repair orders and minor mechanical modifications. (including asset identified minor improvement work)
  • Deliver assigned activities in line with inspection repair order target completion dates,
  • Liaise with 3rd party contractors/vendors/fabricators to estimate (cost, duration, resource) and plan work execution.
  • Co-ordination of site execution activities including delivery of punching and completion packs
  • Ordering of spares including valves, piping and structural components.
  • Maintain quality records for all repairs and modifications
  • Ability to create simple construction isometric drawings for engineering approval.
  • Work closely with the asset planning/scheduling and Control of Work teams to ensure work is delivered efficiently, safely and cost effectively.
  • Create weekly progress report in relation to all asset repair orders and minor asset safety repairs.
  • Organise and carry out Level 1 assurance audits on site.
  • Adhere to and be responsible for the promotion of INEOS 20 Principles and 7 Life Saving Rules to team, colleagues and external vendors

what do I need?

  • Experience of operational, engineering and maintenance systems and processes.
  • Good working knowledge of INEOS maintenance standards, integrity management, control of work and SHE.
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling processes, concepts and tools.
  • Good communication and engagement skills.
  • NC/HNC in Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • In depth knowledge of Maximo.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft base products.
  • Positive attitude, self-confident, independent and ability to work on own initiative.
