ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY
JOB PURPOSE
To lead a team to develop and deliver a Compliance and Assurance strategy and plan for Ineos O&P UK, to support the SHE, volume, efficiency and cost performance within the Business and allow O&P UK to demonstrate that any compliance gaps are known and that plans to close these are being effectively implemented.
Establish and sustain a strong compliance culture within O&P UK, thereby ensuring that Assets are operated legally and safely, that loss is minimised and business processes and procedures are optimised for adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and deliver an O&P UK compliance and assurance strategy which matches legal requirements, sustains UKAS / BSi accreditation for key processes and enables the achievement of Business targets for SHE, volume, cost, efficiency and compliance.
- Establish, influence and sustain a strong compliance culture within O&P UK, thereby ensuring that Assets are operated legally and safely, that loss is minimised and business processes and procedures are optimised for adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Development, implementation and review of O&P UK GMP and standards
- Develop and conduct an Annual Management Review with the Grangemouth Leadership Team to review the adequacy and effectiveness of the Management System and Grangemouth Compliance and Assurance Strategy
- Leadership of the O&P UK Compliance and Assurance Team at Grangemouth.
- Lead and execute the annual BSI and 6 year Site wide audit plan covering Grangemouth Management Processes and Standards, incorporating an increased depth of Level 2 audits, 20 Principles audits and Ineos Group Guidance Note audits, to drive a culture change in auditing at Grangemouth.
- Specify and deliver a process for generating assurance that new and revised Grangemouth Management Processes and Standards have been effectively communicated and compliance assessed, and that compliance gap closure actions have been completed
- Develop and deliver a feedstock and materials supplier audit programme which assesses capability to match Business requirements, identifies gaps and makes corrective action recommendations to supplier management teams, the O&PUK Leadership Team and Procurement.
- Implement and lead the Site pre-qualification process for suppliers, and the development of a supplier revalidation audit process.
- Execute Incident investigation effectiveness checks to ensure lessons are learned from previous incidents, and effective action taken to prevent recurrence
- Provide O&P UK Quality Assurance expertise.
SPECIAL FEATURES
- Responsible for all auditing on the O&P UK site.
- A comprehensive understanding of Grangemouth Management Processes and Standards is required to allow effective and efficient assurance processes to be developed across the O&P UK Site.
- Ability to build relationships and influence Managers / Team Leaders across the Site and up to Board Level
- A broad understanding of compliance requirements in a range of disciplines pertaining to a manufacturing environment.
- GMP 20 Organisational Change Authority
- 20 Principles Auditor
- Assess the impact of significant organisational or governance changes and initiate and lead appropriate rapid modifications to the management system to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Ability to drive a step change in Compliance performance, exemplified by the GMP process with the aim of eliminating non-compliance with issued GMPs
- Knowledge of the IED legislation
- Compliance Technical Authority for ICGL / IIGL and GCHPL
- Subject Matter Expert for Governance
ABOUT YOU
You should:
- Engineering / Science degree preferred
- 10 years Quality experience and 15 years industry experience.
- ISO Lead Auditor
- Strong commitment to Compliance and SHE standards delivery.
- Detailed understanding of internationally recognised standards and their requirements (ISO / ANSI / BSI)
- Comprehensive understanding of Grangemouth Management Processes and Standards.
- Detailed knowledge of legislative requirements relating to petrochemical / refinery manufacturing.
- Able to analyse and interpret data from multiple discipline sources and identify critical aspects.
- Able to effectively and pragmatically represent the O&P UK interests in interactions with regulators and other 3rd party assessors.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence across all levels of the organisation
- Self-motivating and self-managing professional
