FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 60 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth.

ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

The Completions Lead is a key role in the Major Events (ME) Organisation within INEOS FPS.  With an extensive Major Events Programme over the coming decade, we require a Completions Lead to provide assurance that all scope within the event has the correct handover documentation, ready for safe commissioning.  This is of critical importance to the delivery of safe major events across our business.

The Completions Lead will be responsible for all aspects of completions for FPS Major Events from initiation through to close-out. These will meet best in class business requirements and industry standards to help ensure our events are delivered safely, to the correct quality, on time, and on budget.

Key accountabilities  

  • End to end leadership and delivery of event specific completions systems.  Confirming all required hand over documentation has been validated and recorded for each stage of the major event process.  This is a critical process that proves the integrity and readiness of equipment prior to safe commissioning.
  • Working with the Site Operations Team, align the completions systems to the process systems for plant release & handback activities.  For scale, turnarounds peak at circa 500 workpacks.
  • Work with operations to align workpacks to defined system boundaries.
  • Work with operations, maintenance & event contractors to ensure that correct completions paperwork is available and recorded in the completions system at each stage of the major event.
  • Build & maintain the completions road map to allow detailed tracking of progress.
  • Custodian of multidiscipline completions documentation for all work packs included within the relevant major events worklist.
  • On approval of scope change, update completions system accordingly.
  • During event, provide daily update to the event management team, highlighting completions status and risk areas.
  • Generate and explain contents of handover dossiers to construction, commissioning and operating authorities.
  • Collate pre event system punching output and categorise for criticality of work.
  • Collate all work pack data to establish and maintain broken flange register.
  • Oversee and undertake in field disturbed joint flange tagging using information identified on the P&IDs and other supporting documentation within the workpacks.
  • Work with Operations Lead to define joints that are included within the leak testing envelop.  Prepare a handover document to share the list of joints with leak testing contractor.
  • Co-ordinate the multi-disciplined ‘punch’ of each work pack scope based on priority to event.
  • Record ‘punch’ items in completions data base and distribute punch activities to relevant parties to resolve.  Manage close out of completions actions in the completions database.
  • Lead an extended Completions Team should the scale of the event require.
  • Prepare and roll out event specific completions process and training prior to all Major Events (i.e. Contractors, present at ‘Away Day’, etc).
  • Identify, capture and record best practices, recommendations and lessons learned and contribute to continuously improved performance to support future Major Events.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • Have HNC Engineering or Technical discipline or industry/work experience.
  • Be confident to uphold the integrity of the completions process, understanding its critical importance in maintaining process safety.
  • Have strong IT skills including MS Office packages and internal systems such as Bluebeam, Alfresco and Maximo.
  • Be knowledgeable in relevant industry QA policies and procedures.
  • Be able to read and understand P&IDs and Isometrics, with the experience to allow identification of relevant points on these in the field.
  • Be comfortable navigating around a live plant environment.
  • Be an outgoing and confident disposition with excellent team working and networking skills with peers, managers and contract teams. 
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely, in both verbal and written forms.
  • Have the capability to work autonomously and intelligently against the backdrop of a fast paced and dynamic major event scenario.
