Commercial/Business Management Roles

Context

INEOS O&P Asia is the newest INEOS business and is rapidly evolving. The business is made up of INEOS’ JV involvement in Secco and in the recently announced new JV, INEOS Sinopec Tianjin Petrochemicals Ltd at Nangang. This is currently at latter stages of construction and will be operational as a business early in 2024.   The Site is located on the outskirts of the vibrant and growing Commercial City of Tianjin, China.

The JV includes the full business (anticipated sales of c5bn euro) related to the new build 1.2 million tonne mixed feed cracker plus a full suite of derivative assets, and associated utilities and infrastructure. 

Opportunities

The Joint Ventures will operate as ‘standalone’ business entities (with cost/profit sharing to each shareholder), and a range of opportunities are available for commercially experienced INEOS employees to contribute in a wide range of roles.

The opportunity at Tianjin to be involved in the creation from startup of this new business will provide a unique opportunity, to be part of this venture; through construction, completion, market entry and into sales and operation from 2024 onwards.

The roles will provide a high level of personal exposure and accountability and a huge opportunity to have a hands-on experience of business in the Chinese market, which, with these new Joint Ventures will be a key pillar of INEOS’ future global footprint.     

We are seeking to fill a range of commercial and business management roles for the business within the new Project Sunny JV commercial team in Tianjin Nangang.

Since the Organisation structure is still being set up, opportunities can reflect the prior experience of potential candidates, whether in commercial, procurement, planning or sales. 

Examples of roles - Business Management, Product Management, Product Officers, Procurement Management, Business Planning and Supply Chain. Business areas - Olefins and Aromatics, Polyolefins, ACN, LAO and new speciality products (POE and ultrahigh molecular weight PE).

Required profile

  • Knowledge & Education Background: Bachelor or Master’s degree with majoring in chemistry, chemical engineering, economics or a commercial discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Commercial activities, but of course more senior roles will require a higher degree of relevant experience.
  • Track record showing delivery of performance.
  • Self-starting individual with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build relevant relationships and networks.
  • Excellent teamwork skills including the ability to build or work in effective teams, motivate and develop individuals, be a positive influencer, decisive and change orientated.
  • Culturally aware, able to recognise and value different paradigms and approaches to delivery.
  • Fluent in English with also any knowledge of Mandarin a clear advantage
