FPS is a 100% INEOS-owned integrated oil and gas liquid transportation and processing system with a nominal capacity in excess of one million barrels per day serving the central area of the North Sea.

Oil and gas liquids from over 50 offshore fields and St Fergus flow through pipelines into FPS. FPS transports crude oil and gas liquids from offshore and onshore entry points, processes the liquids at Kinneil and redelivers to the customer Forties Blend crude oil at Hound Point and either Raw Gas or fractionated Gas Products at Grangemouth

job purpose

Provide technical assistance and super user level governance for FPS’ Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS); Maximo, Primavera P6 and the Maximo SAP VIM interface

Provide assets with administrative support; ensure that CMMS data is adequately maintained, accurately changed, validated and available for efficient maintenance use and performance reporting

principle accountabilities

  • Support the assets’ delivery of effective work management by providing technical system administration of: static data, change management process, technical reporting, workflow checking, adhoc reports and Maximo user management
  • Facilitates CMMS business use by providing administrative support as a Maximo Super User, with enhanced access/user profile rights and technical knowledge, to rectify first level user issues/ input errors, make static data changes and user account management
  • Maximize in-house CMMS competency through delivery of training, user-education and coaching at both basic and intermediate level to users across the business, including functional Super Users
  • Maintains up-to-date CMMS user management views for the north/ south asset organisation: creation, suspension, reactivation and profile permissions
  • Facilitate timely payment of vendors by supporting the reallocation of invoices in SAP-VIM, where errors or user mismatches may lead to delayed payment
  • Provides usable and high data quality through management and support of static data including creation and amendment, where required e.g. management of change
  • Provides system reliability assurance through reviews of daily error, trap and operating reports for key systems – escalating issues for appropriate resolution
  • Provides testing support during new functionality roll-out and development – as a Maximo testing focal point
  • Support rollout of system updates, changes and new functionality, including preparation of training materials, where necessary
  • Supports forum learning, issue management and fosters a Grangemouth Maximo users community through attendance of Super User meetings and action management resulting in Continuous Improvement within the Maximo forum/ community

A new centralised work management team, dedicated to optimising the maintenance strategy, planning processes and CMMS systems is being setup – this role, reporting to the CMMS lead, will provide asset-focused support 90%+ of the time, and may be asked to support aspect of the wider WM transformation:

  • Maintenance build project: functional and location hierarchy, data quality and management, uploading, change management, system workflow support, attachment and link setup and user training
  • Work management project: Maximo data and work flow

qualifications and technical experience

  • HND or equivalent qualifications, or demonstrable time in applicable CMMS admin role
  • Skilled in use of other Microsoft Office programs – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

Required Knowledge:

  • Specialist admin level working MAXIMO experience, gained in the Oil & Gas Industry preferred but not essential
  • Some working knowledge of database reporting Tools: Business Objects, Qlikview or PowerBI
  • Maintenance process knowledge a plus

  • Ability to train and coach personnel – in function and across system super user groups
