Job Title: Cloud Engineer Department: Information Technology

Summary of Position
We are seeking a Cloud Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our Microsoft Azure environment. The ideal candidate will deep knowledge and hands-on experience across Azure, as well as a strong understanding of cloud-based networking and security. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, resiliance, and performance of our technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure effective integration of cloud services.
  • Manage and optimize Azure resources, ensuring cost efficiency and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices in Azure environments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on cloud solutions.
  • Stay updated on the latest Azure services and features, incorporating them into the infrastructure as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure architectures, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years experience as an infrastructure and cloud Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure components, and services.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert is a plus.

Relocation:

Preferential treatment will be granted to candidates residing in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $132,000 - $195,000 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 27% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 12-24% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
