The Position: The Purchaser will report to the Project Administrator and will be responsible to provide analytical support to the team of Project by using SAP, Coupa. Assure on time goods for Project through negotiation of Purchase orders, contracts with local and international suppliers. Assure the procurement process in Altamira will comply with Americas Procurement processes. Assure competitive costs in the markets with a great platform of suppliers. Cost Avoidance main driver.
What you will do:
Availability and reliability of Purchase Orders, Contracts, CRAFS, OLAS for the acquirement of goods and services. Makes sure the procurement process will be followed and that is aligned accordingly to Americas and Corporate Policies.
Makes sure there is a list of vendors catalogued as recommended for business relationships, based on quality, on time, professionalism and ethical behavior. Availability and reliability of vendors. Make sure vendors will comply with the Company Safety standards.
Develops purchasing strategy for capex proyects identifying key vendors that will help to comply with Anual CAPEX Plans. Responsible to get the most competitive costs for project completion. Will have a strong relationship with the CAPEX team to make sure will have all what they need to complete and terminate projects with the best options (vendors) in the market.
Comply with and enforce the responsibilities, authorities and policies of the Company.
What you will bring:
Degree in International Business, Business Management, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.
Manage vendor relationships.
Experience should be at least 5 years related in a chemical/petrochemical company, At least 5 years of experience in negotiation, development and contract management.
Technical skills:
Negotiation and Management of Conflicts.
Planning and Resources Management
Purchase process
SAP System – Purchase Process Intermediate level at least.
Project Management.
Problem solving
Communicate written and spoken and able to negotiate in English.
