Business Relationship Manager (Business Functions, HR & IT)  (F/M/D)

The main purpose of this role is to engage with (business) stakeholders to maintain relationships, identify gaps in IT services and scope new initiatives. Doing this, the incumbent will develop business cases and requirements for new solutions and be incorporated as part of demand management. Subsequently he/she will downstream solution delivery activities in the areas Accounting, Controlling, Credit Management, Tax, Communications, Internal Audit, Legal, Strategy, HR and IT.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Expertise to understand and translate business challenges and interdependencies into solution requirements resulting in actionable business cases
  • Engage business stakeholders to understand and map the business context including goals, organization structure and future strategy
  • Document key business information and process flows within their respective domain required for the business to operate effectively
  • Identify gaps between strategic needs of the business and the ability to meet those needs through current technology
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure alignment between business needs and IT EA roadmap
  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture to ensure business needs are adequately considered in solution designs
  • Business/IT hybrid expertise to translate business needs into solution requirements
  • Analyze business requirements arising from new demand, within context of business architectures/roadmaps
  • Identify and evaluate potential solutions, highly favoring existing “invest” application estate/platforms (SAP or Microsoft)
  • Create functional requirements in Use Cases and coordinate requirements walk-through and sign-offs
  • Verifying with stakeholders that Use Cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs

 
Skills & Knowledge required:
 
Level of education & experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in information technology or related subjects
  • Minimum of 8 years in leadership positions and over-all 10+ years as Business Relationship Manager/Business Analyst with a demonstrable track record of managing people, and translating business- and IT requirements into a clear and executable plans
  • Advanced knowledge of the transversal function’s processes, activities and IT solutions within the specific field of expertise


Technical skills

  • Cross-functional knowledge of transversal activities and tools, in alignment with the business strategy by understanding the various business applications and platforms (SAP and Microsoft) in the areas of accounting, HR and all related areas along the procure to pay, order to cash and human resource processes
  • Deep understanding of the underlying processes in SAP ERP modules for FI/CO, treasury, group consolidation and credit management, in SAP Successfactors and in Payroll systems
  • Solid expertise in Digital transformation frameworks, business requirements gathering and best practices to leverage this into concise business cases, ready to be executed
  • Experienced in executing Cost-Benefit Analysis

  • Ability to manage and animate relationship with the transversal function executives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills by overseeing the bigger picture
