The opportunity
The INEOS Acetyls Europe Business Team are responsible for optimising the Acetyls business. The role of Acetyls Business Analyst will report into the Acetyls Business Manager but support both this role and the Ethyl Acetate (EtAc) Business Manager in understanding the business performance of the Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride and EtAc product lines. The role will also support the Product Managers with month-end financial processes and feedstock accounting. The Business Analyst will perform routine and ad-hoc analysis to provide insight mainly to European but also the global customer/supplier portfolio to deliver best in class cost to serve and customer service.
The INEOS Commercial team is looking for a Business Analyst to support the Acetyls suit of products. The Business Analyst is a key member of the INEOS Acetyls Europe Commercial Team, key stakeholders include the Acetyls board, logistics team, sales team and finance team. The role could be based in either our site in Saltend, Hull or Knightsbridge, London.

Key accountabilities
- Provide insight into business performance through monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc performance analysis. Liaise with Product Managers, Finance Managers and Logistics to optimise business processes. Identify and highlight trends/issues that help to focus business activities.
- Support the Product Managers to accurately report PU financial performance and variance analysis as required for Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride and EtAc.
- Support the feedstocks and supply-demand processes of the Acetic Acid, Acetic Anhydride and EtAc for day-to-day supply, turnarounds & unplanned plant outages.
- Support the Acid/Anhydride and EtAc Business Managers Business Performance Reviews with the board by creating slide-pack overviews of historical and forecasted performance.
- Day-to-day maintenance of supply-demand spreadsheets (Commercial Models) in line with the annual plan. Optimise, adapt and develop these analysis tools to meet business needs.
- Maintain competitor import/export statistics. Understand and communicate competitor behaviour.
- Monitor pricing agency outputs and support the business managers in delivering weekly market and business performance reports to the board.
- Support the product managers with logistics planning including use of Aimms planning application.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have previous work experience within manufacturing, logistics and/or commercial. You will be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and influencing skills to provide the best business outcome in a dynamic work environment.
You will be comfortable in running business models (excel based) and the basic principles of cash and financial management and will be able to demonstrate understanding of supply chain / logistics and customer specific requirements.
Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills and ability to build effective working relationships are essential along with strong time management, organisation and problem-solving skills
You will be highly motivated and self-reliant with a proactive mindset
Previous experience using MS Office applications is also essential. Experience of SAP applications would be an advantage.
