Job Title: AP Specialist- Processing                                 Department: Accounting

Summary of Position
The AP Processing Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to process invoices for Accounts Payable. A proven understanding of the full cycle AP process, excellent time management, good judgement, and strong attention to detail will be necessary in this role. The successful candidate will be a focused, flexible, and productive team player who will have solid problem solving and communication skills and a very strong sense of ownership. Basic accounting understanding is essential. This position requires work in downtown Denver and offers a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and opposite Fridays working remotely. A flexible work schedule, allowing a start time as early as 6:00 am or as late as 9:00 am, is offered after initial training.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices in workflow system and monitor uncoded and unapproved invoices to ensure all issues are addressed.
  • Scan, index, and upload invoices not submitted directly by vendors.
  • Run and review incoming invoice report and resolving identified issues.
  • Review and address disputes.
  • Track and process incoming utility and telecom invoices.
  • Monitor electronic field tickets to ensure they are approved and invoiced.
  • Track and monitor pending AFEs.
  • Prepare AP daily and monthly reports for distribution.
  • Understand and apply internal controls.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Full-cycle AP experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree
  • Upstream oil & gas AP experience
  • At least one (1) year of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • Experience in SAP or other ERP system
  • Experience in OpenInvoice or another workflow system, specifically processing invoices
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to and work with all levels of the organization
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to quickly pick up on new concepts
  • Flexible regarding workload and priorities

Compensation & Benefits

Please note that the compensation information that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (EPEWA) and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

Compensation:

The annual rate for this position generally ranges between $52,413.00 - $83,725.00 with an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, of up to 25% of eligible pay. This role, depending on skill level and experience, may also participate in the Long-Term Incentive Plan with annual awards, vesting over three years, ranging from 8-15% of stated annual target. These ranges are estimates, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs, business performance to metrics, and other considerations permitted by law. The range may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2.
