ABOUT OUR OPPORTUNITY

INEOS O&P UK is seeking to recruit an Analyser Maintenance Supervisor.

  • Lead and line-manage the Analyser maintenance technicians ensuring that adequate and competent resources are available on the O&P assets to deliver safe, effective maintenance and productive repair of analyser equipment.
  • Execute/deliver the planned and corrective maintenance plan(s) to the appropriate standards to achieve asset targets for SHE, cost, reliability, availability, integrity and quality.
  • The post-holder is a member of the company's management team and is accountable for the performance of the Analyser Maintenance team, this post line-manages across all the O&P Assets and infrastructure.

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

  • Accountable for driving safety, housekeeping and compliance within the Analyser maintenance team.
  • Generate and uphold a positive culture within their team, leading by example, proactively supporting other members of the management team and reinforcing the key lNEOS 20 Principles and Group Life Saving rules.
  • The post-holder will be required to interact with and influence others (e.g. planners/schedulers, COW/RAP team, stores, suppliers and contractors) to ensure plans are achievable and to facilitate the timely delivery of all work.
  • Drive the execution of the daily and weekly asset maintenance plan, ensuring productivity while working through the allocation of tasks and backlog work in adherence to both site and local standards/procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of supervision in the field ensuring the technician team are performing to the required safety, quality and technical levels. Facilitate the removal of inefficiencies whilst applying all relevant technical standards/techniques.
  • Train, coach and mentor technicians in the field to deliver maintenance across the full range of analyser equipment across all O&P UK Assets.
  • Ensure the maintenance team accurately record all work carried out in CMMS / Maximo, Analyser database and Hazardous area database, providing an auditable and complete history of plant equipment.
  • Identify and facilitate removal of barriers to the delivery of the assets maintenance plan {e.g. lack of permits, spares, scaffolding, etc.)
  • Accountable for the management and resolution of operational/technical/behavioural issues affecting the efficient and safe delivery of the assets maintenance plan.
  • Prepare and deliver effective team briefings covering all aspects SHE performance and behaviours.
  • Participate in weekly planning and coordination meetings with the Analyser maintenance specialist to ensure competent resources are available for individual asset demands in order to meet the daily, weekly planning demands.
  • Organise all necessary resources to execute schedule breaker (RIME 1/ 2) maintenance activities.
  • Update maintenance specialist on the weekly schedule progress/execution, allowing the subsequent plans to be adjusted accordingly.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and positive attitudes/behaviours at all times, offering clear/constructive feedback and being flexible in support of the Assets during/after significant process upsets, plant failures, TARs, project implementation etc.
  • Manage team competency ensuring all skills required are available in the team with training and competence plans up to date.
  • Take responsibility for your own personal development and actively participating in the competence framework, training, 1-2-1s with your line manager, the mid-year/year-end appraisal process, setting/delivering your personal objectives, etc.
  • Stay abreast of analyser technology and develop expertise in site systems, liaise with analyser engineer on a routine basis.
  • Promptly reports unresolved Analyser defects to the asset and escalates to the Analyser Engineer for follow up/guidance.

ABOUT YOU

You should:

  • A time served maintenance background with good communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise a maintenance team and provide a positive, proactive approach.
  • The post-holder must be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of certain computer systems (Maximo, e-mail, MS Word/Excel etc.)
  • Familiar with O&P's and Asset specific rules, procedures and standards
  • Able to network and influence effectively
  • A strong bias for action, continuous improvement and providing significant drive/motivation.
  • Minimum HNC and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Ability to train, coach and mentor individuals to develop appropriate skills attitudes and
