Account Manager

Role and purpose

•    Plan and direct Automotive sales in Korea to achieve volume and target.
•    Achieve sales targets and identify improvement opportunities.
•    Coordinate with business management team, R&D for sales strategy and product development as APAC automotive representatives.

•    Automotive tiers business understanding: business’ workflow, organization, network.

•    Plastic interior and exterior business development and sales experience 

•    Business Strategy: develop Korea automotive strategy with reading market trend 
•    Strong knowledge of Automotive ecosystem: Automotive markets, dynamic competition activities, regulatory changes, customers’ trends in APAC.
•    Understand customers’ requirements and competition from local competitors.
•    Manage a complex and diverse Automotive customer structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan & Execute the Sales and Marketing strategy

  • Achieve volume and margin targets
  • Gain knowledge of customer’s business
  • Research, identify and develop existing and potential customer portfolio
  • Develop key relationships at all levels of customers and build a strong, long-term relationships with customers
  • Identify customers’ expectations and match them to Ineos capabilities
  • Utilize internal systems to develop an offer and prepare for customers negotiation, continuously create value in the customer relationship
  • Successfully negotiate sales agreements, utilizing sales management resources, where necessary
  • Research, identify and develop existing and potential customer portfolio.

Meet established annual objectives to deliver volumes and margins for your assigned territory

  • Ability to effectively utilize Ineos forecasting tools
  • Develop realistic forecasts
  • Clear understanding of customer’s markets that could affect forecast/delivery of plan
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of polymers trends, technical development, market activities
  • Monitor results and develop options for management consideration of corrective action

Qualifications:

  • University degree in polymer or chemical background
  • 10+ years of sales and marketing experience in Chemical/Automotive Industry
  • Strong experience of working with Automotive OEMs and Tiers
  • Business awareness and commercial performance bias competencies
  • Behavioral skills: English/Korean, ability to deal with multicultural environment

    Technical skills:
  • Professional understanding automotive industry and polymer market
  • Competence to understand constantly changing complex market environments
  • Derive objective oriented conclusions, entrepreneurial decision making
  • Understand cross-functional / cross-regional framework within Styrolution to derive target optimal conclusions and recommendation
