Plan & Execute the Sales and Marketing for Standard to achieve volume and margin targets using market intelligence, technical tools and new market development for Standard business. Harmonize Sales and marketing activities with related teams( QC, Logistics, FA)  to ensure Customer Satisfaction.

Standard polymers market is competing with competitor, imported material and interpolymer.

We must be team-oriented and self-initiative to understand market & application as well as customer need with accuracy to figure out Win-Win solution to achieve yearly ales target.

C. Responsibilities/ Accountabilities of the job: Describe the main results expected from the job

  1. Key Result Areas :

Support for strategy development and planning for Standard.

Major Activities :

  • Establish short and long term market strategy for standard in Korea domestic market
  • Maintain up-to-date awareness of standard polymers trends, technical development, market activities and standard market intelligence to help define the marketability of products and report to supervisor identified trends that could affect targets
  • Collect customer data/ information/ feedback/ expectation, prepare for presentation/ seminars workshops to promote the products and services
  • Develop and regular update promotional materials for identified customers.
  • Monitor, analyze, assess and communicate monthly sales data to supervisor and propose product/ service planning, revision of strategies, identify business opportunities, pinpoint problem areas and provide solutions.

Establishment for domestic sales strategy, forecasting and planning

Sales & Customer Management

Major Activities :

  • Plan, carry out sales activities to achieve sales targets by calling and visiting existing/prospective customers to understand and identify their needs to create a long-term customer supplier relationship
  • Develop proposal on sales and marketing, and ensure account strategy are exploited consistently.
  • Further secure business opportunities by identifying customer needs in terms of  product application, services requirements, identifying buying cycles, delivery schedules and pricing structure for specialized products within the appropriate business segment, including necessary information provided to other functions, e.g. credit control, logistic, customer services

Make sales revenues and earnings from customers to achieve sales targets

Build a strong and long-term relationships with customers

Pricing & Credit Management

Major Activities :

  • Implement the defined pricing policies
  • Keep updated raw materials price information
  • Deliver and persuade & negotiate price under limited range
  • Provide inputs to country head on pricing structure according to market intelligence on price trends, consumption analysis, sales terms and conditions, customer profiles to ensure profitable margins
  • Provide customer credit information to company credit control function
  • Deliver company credit guideline to the customers and persuade the customers to reach target
  • Follow up and ensure timely payment of receivables to meet established sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Manage customer credit situation to ensure target DSO and no credit default according to company credit guideline
  • Monitor and prevent the bankruptcy risk and credit default of customers

Achieve sales margin target by implementing pricing policy

  1. Key Result Areas :

Market Intelligence & market development

Major Activities :

  • Establish a database to obtain, update, maintain and evaluate market trends, the application of products/ technology and service needs, etc in order to support identifying new business opportunities
  • Prepare market research project to develop competitor grid and benchmarking analyses on competitors’ positioning and the performance of their competitive products
  • Research, identify and develop existing and potential customer portfolio.
  • Propose appropriate products and services to persuade the customers for INEOS Styrolutions’ business
  • Provide technical information to the customers and carry out trials and various activities in order to get an approval for customer’s usage.

Provide good quality data to increase marketing excellence for domestic business

Make new business development for ensuring stable customer portfolio

Major Activities :

  • Visit customers to collect and analyze field information of customer expectations/problems
  • Handle customer claim & complaints on technical related issues.
  • Provide technical service to customer when occurred quality related issues such as color , processing problems, properties issues . 
  • Coordinate and seek advice from production, logistics, quality control and technical service function

Outcome :

Increase the customer satisfaction by on-site technical service

F. Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

University degree :  prefer Chemistry major

Experience in general:

 At least 5 years sales and marketing experience; preferably in the chemical or related background.

Technical skills:

Familiar with product line/applications and typical customer requirements

Good knowledge and understanding in polymer and plastics processing.

Good understanding in marketing and business.

Competencies, Behavioral skills: (acc. to competency profile and required level of descriptions)

Excellent communication and interpersonal understanding
