We are looking for a

Account Manager 

Seoul,Korea (the Republic of) (KR) 

A. Purpose /Role of the job /: Describe in 1 phrase what contribution the job is expected to make to the organisation’s objectives

As part of Korea sales team, establish and implement sales strategy for all products (PS, ABS, Advanced Styrenics) to the Korean Key Accounts and Korea domestic accounts, ensure sustainable business growth through strategic management of the Korean Key Accounts in order to achieve the short term and long-term strategic targets of KTP sales & Korea Domestic sales

B. Environment/Context/Complexity of the job: Describe the most important internal and external factors influencing the job

1. Strategy development and implementation

  • Collect and analyse market dynamics, trends, macroeconomics and competitions.
  • Develop Korea domestic sales & Korean Key Accounts regional sales with milestones.
  • Implement the strategy to achieve the defined target and objectives
  • Update the strategy timely to catch up with the change of market dynamics and trends

2. Key Account Management & Korea domestic Sales

  • Maintain and expand Korea domestic Sales
  • Drive the Key Account management strategy in Asia
  • Analyse sales turnovers, profitability by products, key accounts and industries to monitor and report the progress of planned business target
  • Collaborate with regional Sales teams to maintain existing business and develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct regular customer visit to maintain business relationship and understand the update market requirements

3. Pricing management

  • Negotiate and implement the pricing mechanism preferred by the Standard Management

4. Credit management

  • Monitor customer’s financial status timely with regional sales team, especially for open credit accounts.
  • Review to apply open credit accounts by F&A guideline of INEOS Styrolution
  • Manage account receivables properly with “no overdue” principle and “no customer bankruptcy”

5. Market intelligence

  • Collect market intelligence to support business decision in time
  • Collect market & competitors’ information, industry trends and customer requirements (e.g. competitors’ market activities, evaluation of their strengths and weaknesses)

6. Operational business planning

  • Collect the information of macroeconomic trends, situational forecast of key industries and key accounts
  • Report year-to-date sales performance and estimate full year sales forecast
  • Track and benchmark sales performance (volume & price) vs targets
  • Implement approved yearly operational plan through monthly sales operation and drive to achieve yearly sales target

7.Product management

  • Propose optimised product portfolio in coordination with Product Managers
  • Conduct price strategy of products with Product Management to achieve the defined target profit
  • Collaborate with R&D and RDC to develop new products to catch up with the requirements of new applications
  • Monitor competitor’s activities in terms of product portfolio, new product, capacity utilization and new capacity

  • Achieve annual target sales volume and profitability of all products (PS, ABS, Advanced Styrenics) to Korean Domestic Sales & Korean Key Accounts
  • Conduct business strategy to fit market requirement to achieve strategic business target
  • Implement price strategy and process to achieve target sales profitability
  • Manage account receivables properly to achieve target working capital, DSO with no customer bankruptcy
  • Update market knowledge to develop APAC business strategy
  • Maintain customer relationship and promote corporate identity and brand in the market
  • Support development and implementation of Standard APAC projects (e.g. Eco polymers)

F. Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

  • Graduate level university degree in business administration, polymer science or related subjects
  • Fluent English and Korean in speaking and writing

Experience in general:  

  • 8-10 years of working experience at Chemical industry and minimum of 5 years of experience in key account management through direct customer contact
  • Has relevant experience, knowledge, and skills to handle NE/SE Asia business together with Korea domestic sales management
  • Experience to handle both domestics and import/export sales management
  • Professional experience in the respective key account industry
  • Develop new projects on Eco products with experiences and deep knowledge on ISCC plus certificate and process, target to industry leading customers
  • Has customer connections and relationship through latest organizational awareness e.g. Samsung Electronics
  • Project management experience for new business development

Professional skills:

  • Familiar with INEOS Styrolution organization and processes
  • Strategy development and Planning for key OEM accounts e.g. Samsung Electronics
  • Broad range of understanding across upstream and downstream of petrochemical industry and market dynamics

Competencies, Behavioral skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skill in both written and verbal
  • Negotiate and implement pricing mechanism proactively to achieve profit target
  • Demonstrated success in having cultivated key accounts / projects for new business development
