The Position: Utilities Leader -
Ensure Utilities operation and their supply services in Altamira Site plants and 3rd parties, according to volume and specification agreed, as per the company's policies and strategies.
Requirements:
Education and experience:
Chemical Engineer, Industrial Engineer or related careers
At least 5 years of operational experience in chemical/petrochemical companies, personnel management & water treatment
Technical skills:
- Automation, Control and Maintenance Systems
- Environmental Norms and Laws for air, water and soil emissions.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills-verbal and written
- SAP experienced preferred.
- Advanced Office skills
- English – Medium
- Management of Resources
- Negotiation and Conflict Management
- Process Safety, Unit Operations
Critical challenges:
1. Equipment operation unexpected failure, decision making on how to keep operations on-going
2. Electricity supply disruption and emergency plans implementation
3. Deviation of water treatment processes condition
4. Communication between shift teams and operation controls
5. Leaks and releases beyond plant specifications, affecting community or provoking government penalties
6. Emergency discharge to ocean waters
7. Delay in raw material supply for chemical treatment
8. Firefighting water pumping system availability to attend safety emergencies
9. Staff competencies to be developed
10. Communication to all plants in site regarding utilities disruptions and action plans
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Work at heights supervision ability
- Must be able to work in confined space
- This position must be able to do walk around to ensure the process in Utilities Plant. Walking up to 1 km daily.
- Must be able to work closely with the Supervisors and operators for daily tasks assistance and requirements in Utilities Plant.
The Location: This opportunity is located in Altamira, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
