Main role purpose:
The post holder delivers a competitive advantage for INOVYN by driving the performance of and leveraging the best value from suppliers and contractors.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Manage suppliers and commercial arrangements within the specified portfolio.
- Provide leadership for the buyers and procurement assistant to ensure the team delivers a robust and cost-efficient service.
- Manage the supplier review process.
- Deliver continuous performance improvement within the TS&G procurement function.
Key skills & experience:
- A degree in an engineering discipline is preferred or CIPS Advanced Diploma.
- At least 10 years of experience in managing contractor/supplier interfaces with end-user maintenance activities.
- Strong knowledge of diverse markets relevant to maintenance activities for a major chemical company.
- Capability to lead a multifunctional team of engineers and end-users at all levels on procurement projects and initiatives.
- Detailed experience of technical engineering issues and requirements.
- Thorough understanding of different types of contractual arrangements and their application.
- Results orientated with a focus on delivery and cost.
- Influencing and challenging skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to build lasting relationships.
