Business Context: 

Headquartered in League City, TX, INEOS Olefins and Polymers USA is one of the largest producers of Olefins and Polyolefins in North America.  Ineos produces high-density polyethylene and polypropylene from one of its manufacturing locations at Battleground Manufacturing Complex.

The O&P USA business includes the product lines Ethylene, Propylene, Butadiene, Polypropylene and Polyethylene.  Manufacturing sites include Chocolate Bayou Works (Alvin, TX), Battleground Manufacturing Complex (La Porte, TX), and Carson (Carson, CA), with a division office in League City, TX.   

How the Role Fits in:

The Terminal Inventory Coordinator will take direction from the Inventory Operations Manager to plan and manage stock transfer orders to maintain inventory levels at bulk truck terminals between the optimum and minimum targets

The Main Purpose of the Role: 

Purpose of the position is to ship railcars to meet inventory targets and outbound targets for car flow management.  Includes all distribution terminals, forward storage location and Houston or Carson area storage facilities. 

  • Plan and maintain adequate inventory at forward terminals based on customer forecast and inventory targets derived from our forecasting system
    • Responsible for managing inventory levels between the optimum and minimum targets. Arkieva, GVP, SAP, IntelliTrans dashboards are all software tools used by the Customer Inventory Coordinator to achieve this
  • Lead efforts to identify optimization opportunities in team processes and lead improvement projects to mitigate them.
  • Manage third party packagers and Ineos packaged inventory levels to ensure inventory targets and customer demand is met

Responsibilities AND Accountabilities

· Promote, ensure and sustain commitment to manage areas of responsibility in Supply Chain operations with no harm to people, property and the environment by demonstrating SHEQ and Operations Leadership. Support and follow INEOS 20 principles

  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) and CRM action items in relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Supports the quality management process and provides and participates in the day-to-day activities of Supply Chain to ensure operations meet or exceed the requirements of customers.

·     Support emergency response.

Meet operating execution plan for the business

  • Plan and manage STOs to maintain inventory levels between optimum and minimum inventory target levels
  • Identify and manage optimum inventory location to pull from for non-primary shipments while minimizing impact to normal customer demand and at lowest cost to serve.
  • Plan and manage importation of product for Baxter (a company with proprietary manufacturing process for making blood bags).
  • Manage third party packager to ensure customer demand is met and on time
  • Manage specialty processes such as compounding to produce yellow and black material

Skills & Knowledge Required

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • BS/BA in Logistics/Supply Chain Management or equivalent in logistics/business/related preferred.
  • 2+ years SAP (sales and distribution) experience required with 5+ years preferred. 

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • DOT HAZMAT transportation training preferred.
  • Advanced SAP experience required.
  • Experience with GVP and/or equivalent rail tracking software, Tableau interactive dashboards, Arkieva or equivalent forecasting, inventory management, and optimization system preferred.
  • Strongly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possesses a track record of accomplishment by driving performance and accountability.
  • Strong demonstrated ability to manage, progress and deliver multiple and competing priorities.
  • Makes timely and effective decisions, includes use of good judgment and consideration of proper balance between benefits/risks.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.  Willing to go the extra mile as needed, including after-hours effort to meet key deadlines.
