Technical Procurement Engineer
Location
Maptaphut, Rayong
Key Result Areas : Execute all Mechanical, Electrical, Production equipment, and project technical purchasing activities.
Major Activities :
- Develops specifications and performance test requirements to facilitate procurement of parts and equipment. Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment
- Consults with engineering personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for manufacturing and testing
- Coordinates with global technical procurement to decide which equipment will be handled globally and locally
- Investigates potential suppliers and recommends those most suitable
- Advises company personnel, suppliers, and customers of nature and function of parts and equipment.
- Interviews supplier representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and other information relating to parts and equipment
- Arranges and participates in conferences between suppliers and engineers, purchasers, inspectors, and other company personnel to facilitate material inspection, substitution, standardization, rework, salvage, utilization, and economical procurement of parts and equipment installed in plant
- Monitor purchasing plan against production’s requirement, and propose purchase plan to manager and specify to internal related department to issue Purchase Request to match the planned purchase quantity.
- Negotiates and elaborates the conditions and prices offered from suppliers to obtain the best price and delivery requirement
- Tracks the items ordered till they are delivered
- Issue claims incase goods gets damage, notifies the claim to vendors or Insurance Company to settle the claim and keep follow up the result of indemnity/reimbursement.

Major Activities :
- Obtain knowledge concerning: Legal, Environmental, Financial, Customs rules & regulations, customs tariff code, import duty etc.
- Participate and exchange information with procurement group in MTP (best practices, benchmark….)
- Responsible for the SAP key user activities.
- Responsible for tracking the savings performance as per savings guidelines
Key Result Areas : Contractual management of the service/spare parts contracts in conjunction with the operational groups to ensure supplier compliance with the terms and conditions of the agreement, including the reconciliation and management of payments.
Major Activities :
- Prepare contracts and agreements to establish procurement conditions and negotiate administrative contract terms
- Define, negotiate and organize spot purchases of goods and services, taking into account all elements affecting timely delivery.
- Present and discuss the results of the negotiations with the internal customer.
- Get reviewed by supervisor and line approval
- Conduct filing and distributing properly
- Handle confidential matters as appropriate
Key Result Areas : Vendor evaluation & development
Major Activities :
- Participate in supplier evaluation.
- Give feedback about the performance of the suppliers to Procurement Manager or Concerned Manager.
- Co-ordinate with supplier for corrective action or recommendation.
- Discuss, meeting with supplier to know vendor in vertical.
- Maintain relationship with vendors
