Systems Functional Analyst

Ineos Acetyls Hull is the European manufacturing facility and is of significant strategic importance to the global business, with a focus on manufacturing petrochemicals as well as research & technology. The Hull site produces three key products and operates six discreet manufacturing plants.

Key Accountabilites:

This role is formally responsible and accountable for the functionality and governance of all of Hull site’s CMMS Systems. These systems specifically include SAP, iPlan4SAP, Documentum, SharePoint and the interfaces which interact between these systems.

  • The Systems Specialist will ensure that the site CMMS Systems remain fully functional, secure, and remain compliant with company’s OMS (Operating Management System), as well as any external requirements including ISO 9001.
  • These responsibilities will also extend to making adequate provision for the care and security of all technical data and documentation within the systems. These provisions will include the management of all user access permissions to minimise any breach of data security as well as providing any training and support necessary.
  • User access levels and permissions as well as the technical data held within the CMMS systems will be periodically audited and quality assured by the systems specialist to ensure continued compliance.
  • The Systems Functional Analyst will ensure that the site CMMS Systems, bolt-on application tools remain fully functional and secure. Working closely with the SAP Data Analyst, this includes ensuring that supporting applications such as eReg remains functional and secure. eReg is used for the transfer and submission of technical data requests by the engineering teams and may require the support of the SAP Data Analyst.
  • These responsibilities will also extend to making adequate provision for the care and security of all technical data and document management systems. These provisions include the management of all user access permissions to minimise any breach of data security as well as providing any training and support necessary.
  • Working closely with the support of the SAP Data Analyst, this role will oversee all system software updates and improvements which could include any system or data migration projects. These projects are often implemented using a management of change (MAF) and a project. This role would advise and liaise with all site stakeholders to deliver any such MAF or project through from planning to sign off. This will often involve working closely with the NOE Global Support Group. This Group meets monthly and this role is the primary representative for Hull site and is supported by the SAP Data Analyst.
  • Supported by the SAP Data Analyst where necessary, this role is responsible for addressing any issues with system interfaces which connects SAP with other bolt-on systems such as iPlan4SAP to ensure the transfer of data is accurate and secure.
  • The Systems Functional Analyst will also be responsible for the recovery of systems and the data in the event of any required disaster recovery plan.
  • This this role will also audit, allocate and/or remove user access where necessary in all CMMS and Document Management Systems as well as any supporting or bolt-on systems. The Systems Functional Analyst will also retain the ability to use Winshuttle to create scripts for any licensed user on site to use to interrogate or run data mass changes to the CMMS Systems.
  • This role will also be responsible for the maintenance and management of supporting applications such as eReg. Working with support from the SAP Data Analyst, the role is responsible to ensure applications such as this remain functional.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with ERP systems including project experience from a user perspective and documenting process.
  • Extensive working knowledge of SAP Functionality.
  • Technical configuration experience in SAP Essential.
  • Excellent Data Analytics skills using SAP
  • Good working knowledge of document management and document lifecycle control.
  • Quality Management& working knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of mass data management.
  • Track record in Management of Change
  • Robust knowledge of Business Processes and understanding of integration requirements with other SAP modules.
  • Data downloading/uploading
  • Data cleansing.
  • Data modification.
