Sustainability Manager

Responsibilities

  • Collabrate with Group Sustainability Managers to coordinate the development and delivery of China sustainability initiatives.
  • Develop project plans with and for Secco, HDPE and TPCC, timelines and milestones, proactively manage changes in project scope, identify issues, and make contingency plans with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Drive sustainability projects in the area. Support action plan definitions, implementation tracking and reporting.
  • Support Secco, HDPE and TPCC in annual data collection and submission to TenForce (energy, GHG emissions, water, waste etc)
  • Develop Scope 3 emissions reporting for O&P Asia
  • Generate 2030 roadmaps with and for each site and udpate as needed
  • Prepare and then annually update a cradle to grave Product Carbon Footprint model for O&P Asia, generating assocated reports as required
  • Communicate with sites/projects team, ensure proper information sharing
  • Engage O&P Asia teams in sustainability actions.
  • Identify sustainability risks and appropriate mitigation measures and highlighting any opportunities to improve sustainability performance.
  • Assist in preparing sustainability technology studies to support investment preparation.
  • Be an efficient team player working well with all stakeholders .
  • Monitor and closely follow up all PRC legislation and all legislative develoments around environmental data requirements, eg: PEF (Product Envionmental Footprint), GHG accounting methodology, SPI (Sustainable Product Initiative), DPP (Digital Product Passport)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above, specialized in petrochemicals or chemicals manufactory or engineering.
  • More than 5 years’ working experience in petrochemical manufactory
  • Good networking in the refinery, petrochemical and chemical industry
  • Excellent English and Chinese written and spoken skills
  • Good understanding of refinery, petrochemical and chemical industry
  • Knowledge of energy production, using and efficiency
  • Knowledge of renewable energy
  • Familiarity with project related issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional presentation skills to communicate at various levels with clarity/precision.
  • Ability to handle, even time-conflicting, priorities under tight deadline
