Supply Planner

We are seeking a Supply Planner to join our team for the Americas Region located at our Regional Office in Aurora, Illinois.This dynamic position is responsible for ensuring the cost effective on time availability of product across a complex supply network of owned manufacturing sites, third party toll manufactures, warehouses and trans-loading facilities while achieving an optimal balance between demand and supply that achieves our overall working capital targets.

Complexities of this role include controlling costs through inventory management while monitoring raw material pricing and inventory factors. This position will manage the most optimal method of delivering product to our customers. Experience in scheduling and inventory management across North America is required. Communication with customers to provide forecasted and un-forecasted product in a time frame that suites their needs. Manage third party companies to maintain appropriate service levels to INEOS Styrolution and our customers.

Additional responsibilities include Production Planning and Inventory Management as follows:

Production Planning Management

  • Manage production schedules to enable INEOS Styrolution to provide product to customers according to their requests.
  • Give direction to the customer service team to be able to support customer requirements.
  • Responsible for control of the entire planning process from the demand plan through the supply plan to the finished material availability phase.
  • Provide historical and forecasted daily, monthly and annual reporting to all areas of the business. This includes sales, inventory and production.
  • Act as liaison to the commercial team. This includes giving direction and providing data as to capacities and production abilities.
  • A conduit between commercial and operational areas of the polymer business.
  • Provide forecasts and production requirements to raw material planning groups for a smooth flow from purchasing to consumption of these raw materials.
  • Coordinate the monthly S&OP process

Inventory Management

  • Maintain and manage targeted prime inventory while controlling costs.
  • Responsible for certain tolling activities including planning, scheduling and inventory management of tolled material.
  • Maintain inventory at 3rd party trans-load facilities while controlling storage costs. This includes transfer order creation in SAP and monitoring in-transit as well as on-site inventory.
  • Coordinate with site logistics to manage on-site and off-site inventory.

Does this sound like the job for you?We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business and a minimum 3 years of related experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, extensive product scheduling skills, and knowledge of complete supply chain from production to delivery. Technical skills required include advanced level experience in Excel and MS Office applications, strong SAP skills, and CPIM – APICS Certification is beneficial.
