The Position: Supply Planner -This position is responsible for ensuring the cost effective on time availability of product across a complex supply network of owned manufacturing sites, third party toll manufactures, warehouses and trans-loading facilities while achieving an optimal balance between demand and supply that achieves our overall working capital targets.
Requirements:
Level of education & Knowledge:
- BS degree in supply chain management or business or relevant work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years related experience.
Experience in general:
- Strong background in inventory management
- Extensive production scheduling skills
- Knowledge of complete supply chain from production to delivery
Technical skills:
- Strong computer skills in Excel, and other MS Office applications.
- Emphasis on SAP functionality
- CPIM – APICS Certified beneficial
Responsibilities:
Production Planning Management 25%
- Work with production scheduler to enable INEOS Styrolution to provide product to customers according to their requests.
- Provide historical and forecasted daily, monthly and annual reporting to all areas of the business. This includes sales, inventory and production.
- A conduit between commercial and operational areas of the enhanced specialties business.
- Take part on monthly S&OP process and DOH Inventory Analyses
Inventory Management 75%
- Maintain and manage targeted prime inventory while controlling costs to do so
- Responsible for certain tolling activities including planning, scheduling and inventory management of tolled material.
- Maintain inventory at 3rd party trans-load facilities while controlling storage costs. This includes transfer order creation in SAP and monitoring in-transit as well as on-site inventory.
- Coordinate with logistics group to enable safe movement of inventory to both on-site and off-site locations.
- Give direction to the customer service team to be able to support customer requirements.
- Monitor daily orders vs. monthly forecast
- A liaison to the commercial team over forecast accuracy and providing reports
