Job Purpose

To develop and implement the supply chain strategic vision. Lead the procurement and operation of a fully functioning organisation that delivers all O&P UK products to customers within the UK and Europe using 3rd party shipping, pipeline, warehousing, and haulage assets. Support Olefins and Polymer businesses to achieve long term plans by managing delivery of products at optimal cost and quality.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Develop the long term strategic vision for the O&P UK Supply Chain consistent with the business strategy.
  • Support the O&P UK business by delivering the Supply Chain strategies for major site development projects, meeting the expected requirements of performance, cost, & service.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and deliver short and long term procurement solutions for supply chain 3rd parties; via effective contract management, ensure that solutions meeting the needs of the business at optimal cost, quality & customer service.
  • Develop a well-motivated operational logistics team & efficient business process & tools, focused on delivering the required business, site, and customer service requirements, whilst consistently looking for opportunities to improve performance.
  • Prepare, justify, and control the supply chain budget including fixed, variable, and CAPEX spend.
  • Develop a business-recognised expertise in the logistics markets in order to establish a focal point for logistics operations. Understand the technical and commercial factors required to achieve the development of lower cost options and improved performance.
  • Identify, lead, and develop synergies with the other INEOS businesses.
  • Support and supervise a team of 13; with 3 direct reports, and 10 employees reporting to one or more of these reports.
  • Be a prominent senior leader within O&P UK. Support the business with generating, communicating, and managing staff engagement, and corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

Qualifications, knowledge and Skills

  • Degree level qualification in a technical or numeric discipline e.g. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or Science.
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in a chemicals environment.
  • Strong relevant business background with commercial & negotiation skills.
  • Developed business acumen & analytical skills with strategic thinking
  • Change agent, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement, and supporting the organisation through periods of change.
  • Confidence and impact to lead others from a point of influence rather than line management.
  • Adhere to budget and EBITDA financial targets.
