The Site Training Coordinator oversees the assessment, design, development, delivery and measurement of Cooper River learning programs. 

Measure the impact of instructional programs and generate metrics and reports to ensure their effectiveness. Utilizes data to engage management where interventions are needed. Partner with Human Resources, Operations, Maintenance & Engineering and SHE to facilitate and lead process improvement initiatives to increase work efficiency and reduce operational costs. Prepare integrated annual curriculum as well as training matrix and annual calendar. Oversee contractor resources that may be engaged in training activities.

  • Manages the VTA (Virtual Training Assistant) data base to ensure end user efficiency which includes:

    Responsible for the system upkeep, including user access, learning links and data integrity; 

    Ensures VTA courses are updated, maintains user access and generates reports to the organization.

    Maintains training plans, training matrices, training modules, Operator Training Simulator (OTS), other job related training material, and training records.

    Responsible for compliance of site VTA administrators with policies and practices of data entry.

    Maintain a secure and accurate records system for electronic and hardcopy records of all active employees.

    Create online courses using Adobe and Microsoft Suite software

  • Coordinates scheduling employees and instructors for various courses and programs.
  • Coordinates new hire on-boarding training and regulatory, compliance, SHE, OSHA and HR required training.
  • Coordinate with the US Department of Labor and South Carolina Apprenticeship to apply for grants and tax credits
  • Audit sitewide training action items are completed in a timely manner (MOCs, incidents, etc)
  • Assure compliance with 20 Principles (Eg 10PS-1,2,3,4,8,9,10) including surveillance of contractor competencies per OSHA PSM requirements
  • Coordinate training simulator maintenance to provide up to date simulator functionality to ensure competent workforce for operational upsets, start-ups, shutdowns, and process testing.
  • Facilitates Train-the-Trainer activities through provision of expert resources and materials.
  • Participate in Operations-related and Maintenance & Engineering-related groups on an ad-hoc basis to address training issues.
  • Accountable for the effective delivery of the sitewide training efforts (training day, etc).
  • Provide training courses, either personally or through outsourcing to a limited number of suppliers that meet identified training needs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Develop and communicate the Sitewide Training Plan effectively to the organization on a regular basis.
  • Champions, communicates, and ensures compliance with the 20 Principles and Life Saving Rules and is seen as a 20P leader for the site.

F. Required profile:

Level of education & Experience in general

  • High School Diploma with 15 years of well-rounded manufacturing experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a training professional with demonstrated experience in a combination of program management and instructional design.
  • Professional-level experience should include designing, developing, implementing, monitoring, analyzing and improving training programs, both technical and leadership development.
  • Ability to operate as an influential member across INEOS peers; demonstrated leadership and consulting abilities to drive change and to improve individual and business performance. Proven ability to engage, influence and establish credibility with all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.

Technical skills

  • Functional knowledge and ability to use KMS, Microsoft Office products, VTA
