We are seeking a Sales Representative to join our Commercial team to be based in the Chicago area. In this role, you will manage relationships with customers and prospects of TiO2, focusing on delivering price and volume targets.

About the Role: Specific Job Responsibilities

  • Focuses on sales targets, new business development, and account management
  • Contacts assigned customer accounts or prospects to sell organization's products within assigned territory
  • Proficient at negotiating widely within the customer's organization, including a strong focus on the executive level
  • Communicates with other members of the organization on market intelligence, market trends, and customer information
  • Able to effectively assess an issue or situation using conceptual, analytical, critical, and creative thinking
  • Maintains an understanding of the regional market conditions impacting accounts
  • Provides regular business updates around territory market dynamics
  • Creates and executes regional account plans based on business strategy with input and approval from regional strategies
  • Is capable of creating and developing specific account and territory strategies while promoting company products and services.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical discipline
  • 5-10 years sales experience in a commercial environment ( Ideal candidate will have experience in the chemical industry)
  • Experience with coating and plastics is preferred.
  • Significant and successful experience negotiating contracts and agreements
  • Strong foundation in business fundamentals, measurement, and business finance
  • Tenacious desire to pursue all sales opportunities regardless of account size
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are needed to work with people both internally and externally
