Context for the role:

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to be a key a member of the Infrastructure Services team utilising their excellent technical knowledge and experience to proactively support, define and develop the LAN environment and be an expert trouble-shooter for major and critical network related incidents. The post holder will also be responsible for leading projects on site where Network skills and expertise are required and will be the site appointed resource for the virtual global WAN team for projects and initiatives that are Ineos group wide.

The primary function of the role is to ensure the network infrastructure is secure, robust, resilient and compliant to Ineos standards.

This hands-on role will require some minimal travel to sites in the North of Scotland where potentially overnight stays will be required.

There will also be a requirement to provide on-call cover as part of this role.

Skills & Experience:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Configuring, deploying and supporting Enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure
  • Producing high level and low-level design documentation.
  • Be comfortable troubleshooting complex network issues
  • Proficient in producing and implementing complicated device configurations
  • Working with HPE Aruba based switches
  • Working with Aruba wireless technologies, both controller based and controller less.
  • Experience in network authentication using NPS/Clearpass
  • Experience with Aruba network management platforms would be of benefit
  • Strong understanding of network security
  • Knowledge of Security Devices such as FortiGate.
  • Ability to evaluate and solve complex problems, analyse situations accurately, and adopt an effective course of action.
  • CCNP or CCIE or equivalent knowledge
  • Aruba CMP, Aruba CSP desirable but not essential
  • Offers for this role will be subject to relevant security clearances
