INEOS operates 36 individual business units across 29 countries covering the chemical and oil & gas industries, together with a number of consumer brands. Our chemical businesses are combined into a number of larger financial groups including INEOS Group, INEOS Styrolution, INOVYN and INEOS Enterprises. As part of the INEOS Enterprises portfolio, INEOS Joliet is currently seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst to join our team to collaborate on cost forecasting and reporting for the business. INEOS Joliet is one of the newest businesses within the INEOS Enterprises portfolio with a focus on producing chemical intermediates at our operations facility in Channahon, IL, which is about 40 minutes southwest of Chicago. We also have offices in Wichita, KS, Europe, and Asia.
SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
This position is responsible for tracking and analyzing fixed and variable costs for the INEOS Joliet business. This includes working with all levels of the organization to report variances to budget, provide trend analysis, and update forecasts to manage overall spending and provide support for decision making. Key accountabilities and duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Tracking and analyzing fixed and variable costs for the INEOS Joliet business, including:
• Managing accruals to ensure accurate balance sheet and cost reporting
• Leading cost review meetings and follow up on action items
• Working with cost owners to develop annual budget and maintain ongoing forecasts
• Providing summarized metrics for management reporting
• Managing fixed asset process, including capitalization and depreciation
• Assisting with month-end close process
Providing regularly scheduled and ad-hoc reporting to provide support for decision making within the INEOS Joliet business:
• Developing in-depth knowledge of transactional data and reporting tools
• Ongoing development of cost reports and capital spending reports for cost owners
• Providing accurate and timely cost reports to cost owners across the business
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 Years of experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis
- Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate on Teams
Experience with SAP & MS Access highly preferred.
