For our office/site in Antwerp we are looking for a

Senior Business Controller  (F/M)

The function combines two roles:

Styrene Monomer Controlling EMEA is responsible for setting up the SM EMEA yearly budget and monthly forecasts, assuring correct and compliant monthly financial and management reports for SM EMEA, analysing key drivers for deviations vs budget/forecast and supporting the business with sound management information and recommendations to make well-informed decisions.


The Site Controlling ANT role focuses on financial reporting and analysis of costs, budgets and investment projects. Creates, analyses and interprets reports and performance indicators. This position develops a picture of the site’s performance and challenges his/her environment. Works on financial optimization of the site. This position contributes to the monthly and yearly financial close.

Responsibilities

For the SM part: 


•    Significant contribution to monthly and yearly financial close for EMEA SM. 
•    Responsible for management reporting processes (SM EMEA)
•    Conducts gap analyses (actual/plan)
•    Prepares financial audits and follow-up
•    Responsible for setup and tracking of the SM EMEA yearly Budget and monthly forecast 
•    Accurate and compliant financial and management reporting
•    Sound analysis of deviations and clear, well formulated management information to support Business management in making the best decisions and optimizing the SM EMEA position. 

For the Antwerp site controlling part:


•    Runs operational planning and forecasting processes
•    Conducts gap analyses (actual/plan)
•    Measures and analyses site’s performance
•    Runs economic evaluation and gatekeeping for commission projects
•    Prepares financial audits and follow-up
•    Evaluates long-term investment needs
•    Initiates and monitors improvement measures
•    Implementing regional controlling systems and tools
•    Monitors Site Agreements with BASF
•    Supports on legal, tax and insurance topics
•    Provide leadership to the team
•    Participates in benchmark studies

Profile

Level of education & Knowledge: 

Master in economics or equal thorough experience, supplemented with business knowledge.

Experience in general: 

5 years plus of experience business controlling.

Technical skills:

-    Profound knowledge of controlling
-    Excellent computer skills (MS Office, SAP, PowerPoint,...)
-    Sound business knowledge
-    Excellent analytical skills
-    Economic analysis in support of business decisions
-    Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
-    Dutch is your native language or you are bilangual. In addition you are also very fluent in English, knowledge of German is considered an advantage
