Senior Applications Consultant, Supply Chain Planning (F/M/D)
ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT AND JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for developing, streamlining and im-proving INEOS Styrolution’s business processes with focus on Supply Chain Planning, based on (global/regional) business models and to have IT processes and applications in place which are supporting the business processes at their best.
The holder of the role is responsible for analysing INEOS Styrolution’ s business processes, finding ways to align, to simplify, or to streamline them where possible and setting business processes up on a common IT basis, while respecting existing business models.
This includes focusing on improving INEOS Styro-lution’s face to the customers and reducing the workload on business side. The holder of the role establishes a strong interface to the operational business units in charge of the processes. He/She sets up a structure for operational business support to monitor constantly for improvement opportuni-ties. The incumbent will manage improvement activities by means of IT Demand Management.
The holder of this role must ensure enterprise software applications and business solutions rele-vant for the processes are perfectly available and serving the needs of the internal and external cus-tomers in an optimum way. At the same time the incumbend must ensure all INEOS Styrolution IT policies and processes are followed and met which is not limited to the areas of security, auditability and documentation only.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND AC-COUNTABILITIES
Shape business processes that are effective, streamlined and globally aligned and respect region business models. Improve business pro-cess efficiency, analyse deficiencies, develop solutions
Support the implementation of business pro-cesses in IT applications to enable efficiency gains throughout the entire organization. This includes creating and permanently reviewing a strategic roadmap for process and application development
Consult with operating and functional units in-volved to improve business processes and iden-tify their IT management priorities and issues in order to support operating and functional units processes
Actively cooperate with business process man-agers to create and document technical solution approaches (functional designs) in accordance to business requirements
Provide cost/effort estimations of technical so-lution approaches to support cost efficient de-mand/change management process
Perform IT related functional testing as a pre-requisite of user acceptance testing
Create and maintain documentation of imple-mented solutions
Support to manage 3rd party applications and bolt-on systems relevant in processes
Develop, manage and maintain an effective Change Management process to implement process and application improvements
Be an integral part of the Group-wide business recovery plan to ensure a timely and effective restoration of IT services in the event of a disas-ter
Analyze and review IT systems and capability for potential organizational changes like e.g. ac-quisitions – recommending, planning and man-aging processes to ensure a seamless and rapid implementation in the Group’s systems and management reporting processes
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Education/Experience
Level of education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor of Science, Engineering, Business or related fields
- Fluent English in speaking and writing, German considered as asset
- Solid experience in business process management and/or SAP environment, including rele-vant exposure to business process analysis and design, and knowledge of principles, applica-tions and techniques of appropriate systems with clear willingness and ability to be ‘hands on’ as necessary
- Experience in implementation of IT applications and IT change management, including require-ments analysis, feasibility studies, functional and technical specifications design, pilot testing and operational management
- Experience in the process industry, ideally plas-tics or chemicals industry, with detailed knowledge of procurement, finance and con-trolling
- Good understanding of Styrolution’ s strategy and marketing concepts
- Good knowledge of Styrolution’ s relevant market
Skills/Competencies
Technical skills:
- SAP customization skills in area mentioned in job title
- Functional / technical proficiency with at least 3+ full lifecycle SAP SD implementation and 5+ years of industry and/or consulting experience
- Very good understanding of the processes of production and detailed planning or processes production control
- Very good understanding of Supply Chain Planning processes (demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning)
- Sound experience in SAP IBP and/or SAP APO and have already been able to successfully ap-ply this experience, ideally in the process indus-try
- Technical understanding of SAP transport management processes
- Ability to perform technical analysis of SAP related issues and usage of SAP OSS platform
- Sound ABAP programming knowledge in area of job title would be considered as an asset
- Detailed understanding of business processes, exposure to business process analysis and de-sign, and knowledge of principles, applications and techniques of appropriate systems, knowledge of process management tools like ARIS is considered an asset
