Organisation context and main job purpose:
INOVYN's General Purpose (GP) Vinyls Business covers a wide range of SPVC grades used in numerous segments and applications including pipes and fittings; profiles; sheets; films; cables; flooring; and PVC compounds in general. The post holder is responsible for developing and managing an assigned customer portfolio, mainly in Italy, for General Purpose Vinyls to deliver the margin, sales and volume targets set out in the Commercial Plan.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
Develop and manage a sustainable key customer portfolio in line with margin, volume and cash contribution targets, including a budget.
Plan and lead contract negotiations with assigned customers. Proactively negotiate prices in line with volume and margin targets. Manage credit and ensure cash collection.
Adapt Commercial Excellence methodologies by product to optimise margin and prices (scatter plot). Develop Key Account Plans and contribute to market intelligence needs as defined for the business.
Maintain up-to-date market knowledge and data for the defined portfolio/sectors.
Build trust with decision makers at key accounts to generate long-term partnership and loyalty.
Key skills and experience:
- Degree in business/commercial or science specialism and, at least, 5 years' experience in an industrial sales role.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Proven selling skills including negotiation, contract management, forecasting and problem solving.
- Able to understand and deploy Commercial Excellence practices as well as to analyse and understand mechanics and technical influences in commodity markets.
- Able to influence and build strong relationships with customers at the highest level.
- Regular business travel (circa 50%); based in Northern Italy.
