SHIFT PROCESS TECHNICIAN

Runcorn MCP is a 50/50 Joint Venture between INOVYN and VYNOVA that operates a state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis plant at Runcorn, Cheshire, for the conversion of brine solution (common salt dissolved in water) into chlorine.

This is a direct Company recruitment.  We will not accept applications via employment agencies.

The post holder is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant area to deliver the manufacturing strategy, SHE, volume and cost targets.

Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all process activities and routine checks are carried out to a high standard.
  • Ensure all operating standards and KPIs are adhered to and operated within agreed limits, taking necessary action to resolve if limits are exceeded.
  • Undertake initial problem solving in the plant area and resolve or highlight any deficiencies in performance to the MCP Shift Manager.
  • Complete shift handovers to a high standard, ensuring all key information and electronic logs fully capture the current plant status.
  • Issue permits and decontamination certificates for normal and maintenance activities.

Qualifications & experience:

  • NVQ level 3 or C&G Process Qualification.
  • Strong SHE and personal standards.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • High level of operational and technical capability including familiarity with DCS.
  • Methodical with keen attention to detail.
  • Good communication and influencing skills.
  • Highly flexible and proactive.
  • Must pass a medical.
