SHE Engineer

  1. Key Result Areas:  Incident free operations, Adherence to INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines, Compliance with local regulations.

Major Activities:

  • Participate on regular safety training at site:
    • Safety rules and guidelines
    • Operating procedures
    • Incident sharing and learning
    • Permit to work and Risk Assessment, etc.
  • Active support to the safety culture at site and work safely for incident free operation.
  • Understand and follow annual SHE improvement plan for the site.
  • Work in line with SHE KPIs and Targets set by management from time to time.
  • Take charge of Behavioral Based Safety Observation (BBSO) program at site.
    • Collect, train and summarize the BBSO card and generate site BBSO report.
  • Support Site SHE committee to resolve safety issues and drive SHE performance.
  • Be conscious that all incidents including Near Hit at site must be reported, investigated and action items must be tracked to closure.
    • Active use of KMS for incident reporting and investigation, MOC, action item tracking
    • Take charge of tracking and closing all SHE related action items from audit, plant walkthroughs.
  • Follow site procedures aligned with INEOS Group Guidance Notes (IGGNs).
  • Accountable for
    • Following and practicing INEOS 20 principles of Behavior Safety and Process Safety at site through site rules and procedures
    • Following and practicing Life Saving Rules at site
    • Safety of other Employees, Contractors, Visitors and partners at site
    • Following Permit to Work as per the site procedure
  • Participate on the INEOS Styrolution Sustainability program at site.
  • Stop work whenever there is an unsafe condition and immediately inform the Shift Leader and/or Head of Department.
  • Directly intervene with those in your working area not using PPE or not following INEOS Styrolution standards and procedures.
  • Maintain the respective workplace in order and clean, as per best practices of housekeeping (5S).
  • Participate the SHE group communication regularly.

Outcome: Zero incident/accident in the plant with sustainable and safe operation.

  1. Key Result Areas: Help to maintain Safety Management System

Major Activities:

  • Coordinate Safety Management System for plant, implement & maintain the system appropriately.
  • Help SHE-Q manager to design the safety management system KPIs and make sure these KPIs to be finished
  • Help SHE-Q manager to organize the SHE committee meeting quarterly
  • Participate the incident, accident, Near Hit, HIPO investigation and root analysis, writing report, keep track the preventive and corrective actions to be finished
  • Totalize and record the NCMs (non-compliance management) and suggestions, keep track the corrective action to be finished.
  • Take charge of monthly best NCM & suggestion award selection & decision work
  • Take charge of safety training of contractor.
  • Take charge of REX translation and sharing in the plant.
  • Involved in LSR, 20P, AsCare, IGGNs implementation work and pass their audit.

Outcome:

Safety management system working effectively, safety KPIs finished, and compliance to INEOS Safety Guidelines.

  1. Key Result Areas: Other Safety activities like site inspection etc  

Major Activities:

  • Conduct site safety inspection in the field
  • Follow-up the annual site inspection plan, collect and keep inspection reports. (PGI, 5S, BBSO, NCMs etc).
  • Participate risk analysis & risk control study together with operation and process team
  • Help the SHE-Q manager to collect and totalize the monthly SHE report data.
  • Fulfill the other works assign by the manager

Outcome: Keep safety management system report complete and orderly, site inspection plan will followed and finished on time.

Required profile:

Level of education & Knowledge:

  • University degree or equivalent, major in chemical engineer or safety related.

 Experience in general:

  • Above 2 years of experience in SHE management related

Technical skills:

  • Familiar with chemical process, safety principle, incident investigation etc
  • Familiar with the related safety regulations
  • Good English communication ability both oral and writing
  • Solid computer skill of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

Competencies, Behavioral skills: (acc. to competency profile and required level of descriptions)

  • Familiar with safety management system.
  • Responsible and reliable, team spirit
  • Good sense of cooperation & responsibility
  • Open-minded, proactive, strong motivation for learning and developing

Legal Training Requirements

  • Certificated Safety Engineer is preferred for this position.

Performance indicators: Describe the criteria allowing to measure to what extent the results are achieved - related to the accountabilities

  • Zero incident/accident in the department
  • Continuous improvement of safety management system.
  • Safety Management System KPIs finished
  • Compliance of regulations & Ineos SHE guidelines.
