Rotating Equipment and Machines Engineer

The post holder is responsible for leading the Rotating Equipment and Machinery discipline within the central Research, Technology & Engineering team, proactively providing advice, solutions and problem solving for INOVYN projects and manufacturing sites to ensure mechanical integrity and reliability.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Act as INOVYN's Rotating Equipment and Machinery specialist and apply specialist technical knowledge to support the manufacturing assets, projects and strategic developments.
  • Apply methods and tools to identify problems and improve the reliability of rotating equipment.
  • Act as the gatekeeper for the selection of rotating equipment and machinery for Capex projects.
  • Provide central leadership for the control and management of rotating equipment vendors.
  • Act as the operational and technical contact between people on the manufacturing sites to encourage the use of best practice.

Key skills & experience required:

  • University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment and machinery.
  • Familiar with a variety of design codes and design tools.
  • Proven experience associated with high hazard SEVESO/COMAH manufacturing sites.
  • High level of independence and autonomy.
  • Able to travel regularly in Europe.
  • Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly adaptable to working in different countries and different cultures.
