The post holder is responsible for leading the Rotating Equipment and Machinery discipline within the central Research, Technology & Engineering team, proactively providing advice, solutions and problem solving for INOVYN projects and manufacturing sites to ensure mechanical integrity and reliability.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Act as INOVYN's Rotating Equipment and Machinery specialist and apply specialist technical knowledge to support the manufacturing assets, projects and strategic developments.
- Apply methods and tools to identify problems and improve the reliability of rotating equipment.
- Act as the gatekeeper for the selection of rotating equipment and machinery for Capex projects.
- Provide central leadership for the control and management of rotating equipment vendors.
- Act as the operational and technical contact between people on the manufacturing sites to encourage the use of best practice.
Key skills & experience required:
- University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of rotating equipment and machinery.
- Familiar with a variety of design codes and design tools.
- Proven experience associated with high hazard SEVESO/COMAH manufacturing sites.
- High level of independence and autonomy.
- Able to travel regularly in Europe.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making ability.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly adaptable to working in different countries and different cultures.
