Main resonsibilities & accountabilities:
- Act as the single point of accountability in new development projects, such as Oxychlorination Catalysts, and lead the stage gate process.
- Initiate, organize and monitor Pilot Plant development programmes aimed at developing new catalysts to give better production performance.
- Generate, report and feedback ideas across all team objectives on how catalysts and processes may be improved to help develop and progress R&D projects.
- Plan a monthly work schedule to carry out work agreed upon with the VCM R&D Manager as part of the annual R&D targets.
- Responsible for ensuring all technical work is reported and developed on a timely basis.
- Provide technical advice to users of catalysts.
- Act as the official RSPP of the Porto Marghera Site.
- Manage the Safety Management System, according to the ISO45001 Certification.
- Support the R&D Manager in the management of the utilities for the Pilot Plant Building (air compressor, energy, cooling system, technical gases).
Key skills & experience:
Master's degree/PHD in Chemistry or in Industrial Chemistry.
Experience in R&D Heterogeneous Catalysis and analytical chemistry preferred.
- Fluency in English (Level B2).
- Technically competent to develop new analytical techniques in catalysis.
- Problem-solving attitude.
- PC literate (Microsoft Office package).
- Good social intelligence.
- Team player (international team).
- Sensitive to SHE (safety, environment, health) issues.
- Willing to travel and work off-site.
