Main resonsibilities & accountabilities:
Act as the single point of accountability in new development projects, such as Oxychlorination Catalysts, and lead the stage gate process.
Initiate, organize and monitor Pilot Plant development programmes aimed at developing new catalysts to give better production performance.
Generate, report and feedback ideas across all team objectives on how catalysts and processes may be improved to help develop and progress R&D projects.
Plan a monthly work schedule to carry out work agreed upon with the VCM R&D Manager as part of the annual R&D targets.
Responsible for ensuring all technical work is reported and developed on a timely basis.
Provide technical advice to users of catalysts.
Act as the official RSPP of the Porto Marghera Site.
Manage the Safety Management System, according to the ISO45001 Certification.
Support the R&D Manager in the management of the utilities for the Pilot Plant Building (air compressor, energy, cooling system, technical gases).
Key skills & experience:
Master's degree/PHD in Chemistry or in Industrial Chemistry.
Experience in R&D Heterogeneous Catalysis and analytical chemistry preferred.
Fluency in English (Level B2).
Technically competent to develop new analytical techniques in catalysis.
PC literate (Microsoft Office package).
Good social intelligence.
Team player (international team).
Sensitive to SHE (safety, environment, health) issues.
Willing to travel and work off-site.
The role is based in Porto Marghera, Italy.
