For our office/site in Ningbo we are looking for a
Regulatory/OH specialist
- Key result areas: Incident free for plant , Adhere to INEOS Styrolution SHE guidelines, Compliance with local regulations.
Major activities:
- Develop, maintain & share regulatory knowledge of Chinese regulation processes
- Communicate and cooperate with global/APAC RA team, and ensure raw materials can comply with government authorities’ regulations, standards and requirements
- Communicate and cooperate with registration authorities and other agency to finish registration/notification
- Follow up on regulatory affaire related customer or distributor inquiries, organize response directly, or upon validation from global regulatory officer, or data generation from lab testing or by other means, in order to respond
- Follow up new regulation and communicate regulatory issues with government and associations, provide regulatory suggestion and advice for to BL RA and Business team
- Build and maintain good relationships with relevant government authorities and industrial associations, participate in activities organized by government and associations
- Compile all necessary data and/or files for imported raw materials registration, as well as chemical registration required from china regulatory
- Coordinate for all external permit issues.
- PPE management including evaluation, selecting, purchasing and collect employee’s advice about PPE.
Level of education & Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree, SHE related education
- Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical manufacturing sites
- English written and oral communications skills required
- Certified safety engineer preferred
Technical skills:
- Deep understanding of INEOS IGGN and INSTY SGGN and local regulation and standards
Competencies, Behavioral skills:
- SHE leadership, including clear understanding of occupational safety
- Ability to credibly present himself as an expert and go-to person for regulatory topics.
- Empathy. Ability to convince others in an appropriate way. Solution oriented, not problem oriented.
- Excellent reporting skills and written communication.
