Projects Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
  • Execute site efficient and professional procurement for major projects and plant turnarounds (TAR)
  • Develop and secure a proper implementation of procurement strategies for projects and turnarounds , connected to equipment and contracting services for O&P North and other businesses represented at the Koeln site
  • Close collaboration with the local Study & Projects Dept, the local Procurement Dept. and other technical communities on strategies, contracts, services and supplier management
  • Run tendering processes or secure a proper coordination with local procurement for smaller contracts and/or call-offs from existing local framework agreements
  • Be part of the core project and/or TAR team for procurement matters and attend sessions to secure early involvement for any new upcoming demands
  • Eventually acting as Contract Manager to lead or support Multi-Business agreements, develop market knowledge and set up relationships with strategic suppliers
  • Develop sourcing strategies for the dedicated area, in close collaboration with technical and procurement key stakeholders from the O&P North business as well as from other Business Units of the wider INEOS organization
  • Build expertise and seek opportunities for best cost country sourcing and effectively manage the end-to-end process of engagement with suppliers from these regions, to be provided to the O&P North business and other Ineos business units
Your qualifications
  • Degree in an engineering, commercial or chemical discipline
  • Strong, demonstrated commercial, contractual and negotiation skills
  • Skilled in identifying commercial opportunities through analysis of the fundamental business drivers
  • Considerable practical experience of projects procurement management roles and experience in operational roles of procurement and engineering 
  • Experience in working across multiple sites and in a multinational and virtual team
  • Preferably good technical knowledge of needs of material, contracting services for the process and possible technical challenges of plant operations
  • Able to drive action, solve problems, make decisions and achieve results in an uncertain environment with changing priorities
  • Fluent in German and English; ability in other European languages are an advantage
