This is an exciting time to join us at our Grangemouth site, INEOS’ largest manufacturing asset. With significant investment planned over the next few years, an additional Project Planner with relevant experience is required.

Our integrated Asset Project teams develop and deliver engineering projects to the highest standards, meeting demanding HSE, schedule, cost and technical performance targets. We deliver all aspect of project management including cost & planning, and construction and commissioning, and work closely with third Parties for Designers & Field Contractors. We deliver circa £20-25M annual Capital spend across our assets, and have 20 -40 live projects at any given time.

Job Purpose

Develop, manage and maintain effective plans across the full project lifecycle for a portfolio of projects. Plans start in concept, through design and to construction, to support on time and effective completion of all project activities.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Lead the development of high level project plans at early concept phases and for management support
  • Develop and maintain detailed, resource loaded project plans to support the delivery phases of projects through design, procurement, construction & commissioning
  • Review / challenge contractor / 3rd party schedules and incorporate at agreed level into the INEOS master plan
  • Provide integrated construction plans for the project portfolio
  • Provide progress reports, S curves, schedule variance, and schedule performance information
  • Ensure project construction work is scheduled and coordinated into the asset work plan
  • Support Development of the project planning systems and procedures

  • Working in a matrix management environment with many interfaces to third parties including designers, vendors and constructors
  • Delivery within a complex operational and maintenance environment
  • Demanding HSE, quality, schedule and cost targets

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

  • HND Qualified or equivalent, preferably in an engineering discipline
  • A detailed understanding of the project lifecycle is essential
  • Expert understanding of Primavera P6 essential
  • Good understanding of and other planning tools / software such as NetPoint, Maximo preferable
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A methodical & proactive approach to problem solving
  • Team player with  influencing & communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and able to work in a changing environment
  • Ability to deliver effective coaching at a variety of levels and in a variety of styles.
