Main role purpose:
The post holder manages capital projects at Brine and Water, ensuring these are delivered in line with business requirements.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
- Ensure project SHE, quality, programme and Budget requirements are met.
- Act as Project Engineer on larger capital projects, leading the definition and evaluation of work package scope options, design and cost estimates, and liaising with the construction team to ensure installation to the design/requirements.
- Ensure project design and construction complies with relevant regulations, INEOS and INOVYN procedures and safe systems of work including the INEOS Safety Principles and Life Saving Rules.
- Liaise with procurement to establish and agree appropriate procurement strategies and contracts. Follow contract management processes.
- Review project performance and apply learning to future projects.
Key skills & experience required:
- Degree in an engineering discipline or project management (or equivalent experience).
- >5years experience as a Project Manager/Engineer with proven delivery within the role.
- Thorough understanding of project processes.
- An understanding of all engineering disciplines and knowledge of SHE/regulatory requirements.
- Confidence to lead when required; able to perform effectively in a team as part of a larger project.
- Analytical thinker, able to break down issues into manageable parts and to plan a suitable way forward.
- Good communicator, able to present information and options to project steering teams, and gain buy-in for proposals.
