Job Purpose

The Project Execution Lead (FPS North) is accountable for the delivery of Engineering Projects (repairs and improvements) at all offshore and onshore sites of the FPS North Asset. The program of repairs and improvement will prolong the life of the Forties Pipeline System for a further 20 years to ensure safe and reliable operation to 2040+

KEY Accountabilities

  • Manage, develop and support the Construction process for the FPS North Asset.
  • Accountable for the development and ongoing management of the Project Construction team and interfacing with Vendors / Sub-contractors.
  • Accountable for the delivery of Construction activities in accordance with the Asset schedule and budget.
  • Accountable for ensuring a high standard of Construction activities are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Support day-to-day Construction activities / personnel in the safe and structured delivery of workscopes and processes, ensuring all applicable Site / Project safety procedures are fully and properly implemented.
  • Demonstrate visible safety leadership by example and communication with teams.
  • Provide support and training to Construction personnel, ensuring personnel are competent and possess the required skills.
  • Constantly strive to obtain maximum productivity and economical use of labour and equipment in order to keep costs within budget.
  • Ensure that all work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspections and certifications are strictly adhered to as well as all Company systems of quality assurance.
  • Ensure, before any work commences, that all items of material, equipment, scaffolding etc required are available to avoid abortive and unproductive use of labour.
  • Manage the mobilisation and de-mobilisation of Construction resources to meet schedule requirements.
  • Monitor and report Construction progress on a regular basis – daily, weekly, monthly and escalate any issues / concerns.
  • Review and agree the overall Construction schedule, including Vendor / Sub-contractors’ schedules and escalate any issues identified.
  • Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with Vendor / Sub-Contractor Management and site representatives.
  • Authorise or refute all Vendor / Sub-Contractor claims for delay, waiting time or abortive work. Challenge existing working practices and proposes improvements.
  • Lead / contribute to safety reviews, risk assessments and investigations as required.
  • Job Responsible Engineer for own Projects MOCs (Management of Change) proposals.
  • Adhere to and promote Ineos 20 Principles and 7 Life Saving Rules to colleagues and external vendors.
  • Travel to offshore platforms or remote sites in support of execution of repairs and improvement workscpes. 
  • Participation in the Assets self-audit process.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum HNC in an Engineering related subject or Trade Apprenticeship with appropriate Technical Qualification.
  • Recognised Site discipline background.
  • Fully conversant with Project Management Systems with extensive knowledge of Project Construction practices and procedures.
  • IT Literate with experience in management databases
  • BOSIET, Medical and MIST for offshore travel.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5+ years relevant experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Experience in a Construction Lead role.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of project processes and best practices
  • Experience in construction

Job Knowledge Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding and applied knowledge of relevant UK Regulatory (Safety Case, COMAH…) and industry standards.
