Production Scheduler


INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join our Composites business at our Philadelphia, PA Production Facility.

Job Function

The Production Scheduler is responsible for creating the production and shipping schedules to ensure customer demands are met and product is shipped in time to meet those demands.  To ensure these demands are met, this position will work with various departments (customer service, logistics, procurement) to ensure execution of customer ordering plans.  The Production Scheduler reports to the Operation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish the reactor production schedule to maximize output for the given resources
  • Use the plant scheduling system, SAP, industry logistic software, ASPEN, and varies other scheduling tools to schedule material production and movement tasks in thin tanks, blend tanks, tankwagons, storage tanks and drumming
  • Create process orders, batch and blend documents, arrange out-bound shipments, and PGI shipments in SAP and Advanced Scheduler
  • Coordinate product shipments with approved carriers, and select and coordinate truckload and LTL carrier pick-ups
  • Schedule around equipment for maintenance turnarounds, equipment shutdowns, or any type of interruption to the production schedule
  • Partner with business to build monthly forecasts and to communicate capabilities
  • Participate and/or lead regular capacity review meetings
  • Work with other members of the plant team to understand material compatibilities, equipment downtime and safety regulations that can impact production scheduling
  • Be proficient in the main corporate software packages, such as SAP, Advanced Scheduler and Microsoft applications
  • Cross-train with Logistics Manager to be a back-up for in-bound materials ordering and logistics and rail shipments / deliveries
  • Train others in the requirements of this job to provide back-up during vacations and other absences
  • Prepare and ship small packages of Hazardous/non hazardous goods via parcel carriers
  • Direct shift supervisors in the efficient scheduling of tanks to maximize productivity
  • Interact with customers, customer service representatives, sales representatives, and tech service representatives and carriers to ensure on time delivery to customers
  • Assist in new employee training, refresher training and basic safety training
  • All new hires will be required to become fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to their first day of employment

Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Manager or Logistics preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in production scheduling
  • Batch Chemical Plant industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and computer skills required
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Knowledge of Sales Force and TSM preferred
  • Team Player
  • Self-starter with limited
  • Ability to be work well in high paced environment
  • Detail orientated and able to prioritize projects
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of employees
