INEOS USA Oil & Gas is actively drilling in its Austin Chalk position and has over 100 producing legacy wells. The company office is located in League City, TX and operations are currently centered around the towns of La Grange, TX and Brenham, TX. The Field Office is located in La Grange, TX.

INEOS USA Oil & Gas is a subsidiary of INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA.
How the Role Fits In:
The Oil and Gas asset team is an integrated, multi-disciplinary team of professionals responsible for operating and developing INEOS USA Oil & Gas properties. The team also performs evaluations for the potential acquisition of new Oil & Gas assets. The Production Manager will oversee operation of oil & gas wells already developed as well as provide Facilities development support for new wells. The role will coordinate closely with subsurface, land and finance functions to support the oil & gas team.
The Main Purpose of the Role:
The Production Manager will have responsibility to optimize mature field operations, coordinate SHE, manage installation of facilities on new well pads and provide input into future development of the field. Another key role will be to prepare AFEs and procedures for workovers. The SHE Manager, Production Foreman and Field Superintendent will report into this position.
Responsibilities AND Accountabilities
- Ensure that field staff have clear guidelines and access to training to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations
- Safe operating practices
- Reporting procedures
- Testing and maintenance schedules
- Asset care standards and inspections
- Coordinate with field operations, drilling and completion activities to safely and successfully develop oil and gas assets
- Design flowback and production facilities
- Coordinate with field staff to oversee construction
- Design, implement and optimize flowback, early life and initial artificial lift programs
- Evaluate and optimize existing, mature production including:
- Rod pump, gas lift, plunger lift and intermittent production
- Gas/water and oil/gas/water separation facilities
- Participate in regularly scheduled, interdisciplinary meetings to ensure engineering, geology, land, accounting and other functions have access to timely, accurate information
- Work in the Giddings field (La Grange and Brenham area) as needed to oversee construction and workover activities and to ensure safe and efficient field operations
- Coordinate with the Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) function to ensure that all operations personnel, contractors and sites have adequate training and resources to meet or exceed company standards and to communicate information in an accurate, timely manner
- Coordinate with SHE function to ensure that field remediation, testing and reporting activities are properly performed and regulatory and land releases are secured
- Participate in periodic well reviews with management and field personnel to discuss production performance, costs, optimization plans and performance goals for each well
- Maintain operating records including wellbore diagrams, process diagrams, well files and performance analysis
- Manage service providers and vendors to ensure safe, cost effective operations
Skills & Knowledge Required
Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an Accredited University in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
- 7+ years upstream experience preferred, including production engineering duties as part of a multidisciplinary team overseeing active development
- Experience managing flowback operations, artificial lift implementations and late life production
- Experience with Texas regulatory reporting and operating requirements
- Austin Chalk experience valued
Technical skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office to support business presentations, reporting and communications
- Ability to use industry standard software and methods to prepare:
- Cost estimates
- Surface equipment and artificial lift designs
- Well performance analysis
- Familiarity with industry standard processes, software, tools and techniques used in oil and gas development and operations
- Experience performing look-back analysis to evaluate and improve AFE and performance forecasting processes
- Ability to anticipate the needs of the various functions involved in oil and gas operations and to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary projects
- Ability to prioritize and progress multiple projects in parallel to ensure development, operations and reporting functions are properly supported
- Ability to coordinate operations, planning and resources with service companies, competitors and partners in order to meet company objectives while maintaining a positive company image with the Industry and Regulators
- Ability to anticipate resource needs, identify the appropriate internal and external resources, negotiate terms of service and manage performance to meet company objectives
