INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a Production Team Leader to join our INEOS Hygienics LLC business at our Jacksonville, AR location. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the operations function. This position will report to US Asset Manager.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Strategy

Support the Jacksonville Site Operations Manager and US Hygienics Asset Manager in creating and implementing company vision, values and delivery of objectives linked to the overall business plan.

Deploy operational excellence models facilitating transformation.  Identify ways the business can change/adapt to meet shifts in market/customer demand and create an agile operation across the site to ensure the business can respond quickly and efficiently.

Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.

Support decision making on operational policy, planning process and strategy.

Core Operations

Effectively and efficiently manage the production (filling, packaging, logistics and supply chain) of the required weekly / monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times.

Maintain a safe work environment for all employees and visitors while ensuring all legal and regulatory processes/documents are in place, updated and monitor compliance with all local, state and federal safety and environmental laws and regulations, as well as company guidelines.

Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining the productive operation of planned activities.

Ensure relevant KPI’s are in place across functional teams and these targets are met/exceeded.

Manage timely data collection to update operations metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce costs, eliminate errors and deliver excellent product and service to our customers.

Support production planning and ensure the business is adequately resourced.

Ensure 24/7 operation has adequate support in place and issues outside of support hours are dealt with safely and effectively.

The continuous identification and implementation of operational best practice and continuous improvement through interaction with the wider team.

Model positive leadership through open and effective communication, motivation, example setting and best practices. Foster an inclusive and positive collaborative environment with different functional teams to support exchange of ideas and communication, providing cross functional working and development opportunities.

Develop, integrate and embed best in class operational platforms and systems into onsite operations.  Grow the efficiency of existing organizational processes and procedures to enhance and sustain the organization’s internal capacity.

Implement cost down strategies focused on improved efficiency and utilization of site teams.

Report and present operations metrics to stakeholders.

Ensure strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders are built and maintained to ensure optimal performance.

Work collaboratively and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the wider business strategy.

Assist in development and implement a solid strategic plan for the plant while balancing its immediate needs with the long-term goals of the company

SHE

Overall responsibility for safety management on site and senior role in all aspects of incident control.  A Visible ambassador for world class safety and INEOS Safety programs.

Support the SHE Manager to ensure on site legal, regulatory and company compliance and promoting safety culture in line with INEOS companywide culture and Safety programs.

Quality

Support the Quality Manager in leading continuous improvement activities, including (but not limited to) Quality management systems, Good manufacturing practice (GMP), customer satisfaction, inefficiencies, product defects, waste, regulatory compliance & standards.

Customer Service

To work in collaboration with the Hygienics Commercial & Supply Chain teams to build, operate and execute an effective S&OP process which ultimately ensures high levels of customer service whilst supporting business growth and innovation.

Engineering

Support the Engineering Manager to ensure delivery of engineering excellence, with safe and efficient output from Engineering functions, to support on site operations in delivering to customers.

People

Take a lead role in promoting a company culture that encourages and inspires high performance and engagement.

Execute a well-defined communication and engagement model, to ensure all teams understand the performance of the business and their contribution to the strategy and success of the business.

Lead, motivate and support a large team in a demanding environment. To include implementation of personal development plans for direct reports and throughout their teams.

Proactively manage and review the performance and progress of direct reports and their teams, against set objectives and targets.  Work closely with SHE and HR to support training needs and plans.

Select, effectively lead and coach future leaders within your teams.  Provide advice & guidance on day-to-day issues when needed. Model positive leadership through open and effective communication, motivation, example setting and best practices.

Work with the HR Manager to ensure people management issues are resolved in a timely manner, and relevant HR policies and procedures are adhered to.

Responsible for the development of the operational talent pool by optimizing the skills of the existing team, in partnership with HR, to attract and retain the very best talent. 

Create and implement an operations talent plan for the site, looking at talent acquisition, carer management, learning and development and positive employee engagement. 

Budget

Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning and auditing for operations function.

Input and hold responsibility for Operations budget.  Support preparation of annual budget and forecasts and CAPEX proposals.  Responsible for achieving budget and forecast.

Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to stakeholders.

Project Delivery

Contribute to new business initiatives and projects, and review and communicate the impact on production and operations.

Manage site projects from planning to execution, throughout the full project lifecycle. Responsible for on time delivery of projects and project plan.

Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required.

Communicate to senior level project plans and delivery, including management and responsibility of budget.



In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:

B.S. Degree in Engineering, Operations or related discipline

Minimum 7 years’ experience as an operations/plant manager or in roles of increasing responsibility and across several disciplines (i.e., production, safety, engineering, etc.), in a high volume, fast paced, customer focused manufacturing facility.

A minimum of three years of supervisory experience leading, influencing, building and developing a diverse and cross-functional team across various levels and skill sets including hourly, salaried non-exempt and professional exempt level staff.

Proven skills in improving safety performance and effectively leading and managing people.

Technical skills

  • In-depth manufacturing experience with technical skills & understanding. 
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing and other manufacturing principles.
  • Competent in problem-solving, able to demonstrate analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of finance and budgeting principles.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Experience in working within and complying to local, regional and governmental safety, environmental, quality and financial standards and laws regulations as required for specific area, country or region
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing procurement/supply chain.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentations skills.
